Billy Joe "Bill"Crain

Services for Billy Joe "Bill" Crain, 61, of Brownfield were held Tuesday, July
18,
in the Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Ronald Luker and Randy
Reid officiating. Burial was Wednesday, July 19, in Union Hill Cemetery in
Mineral Wells. Mr. Crain died Saturday, July 15, 2006 in Lubbock.
He was born March 8, 1945 in Hendrix, Okla. to Robert and Lavelle Crain and was
married to Wanda Joy Pruitt on March 16, 1966 in Brownfield.
He attended O'Donnell High School and Texas Tech University and moved to
Brownfield in 1970. He was a self-employed farmer in Terry County.
He was a
U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a lifetime member of the Brownfield VFW Post
#6794.
He is survived by his wife; and three daughters, Lainey Castleberry of Lubbock;
DeAnna Carroll and her husband, Greg; and JoDee Crain, all of Amarillo.
He is also survived by two brothers, Raymond of Plains and Danny of Brownfield;
and four sisters, Bobbie Sines and Betty Marett, both of Brownfield, Lula
Workman
of Midland and Shirley Shaw of San Antonio.
He is also survived by three grandchildren, Kayla and Kobie Castleberry, both of
Lubbock; and Cooper Carroll of Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his
parents
and two brothers, Robert and Richard Crain.
