Services for Eloy Joe Contreras, 63, of Amarillo, formerly of Brownfield,
were held Saturday, April 8, 2006, in St. Anthony's Catholic Church with
Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Rosary was held Friday, April 7,
in
Mark A. Jones Memorial Chapel. Burial was in Brownfield Cemetery.
Mr. Contreras died Sunday, April 2, 2006. He was born July 28, 1942,
in
Karnes City. He is survived by one son, Eloy, Jr., of Houston; three
daughters: Theresa Torres of Hobbs, NM., Joan Merrith of Houston and
June Ramirez of Michigan; and one sister, Ermalinda Contreras of
Lakewood, California.
