Vogel Cole, 97, of Brownfield died on Thursday, April 26, 2007.
Memorial services were Friday, April 27, at Brownfield Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Tim Hooten officiating. Burial was held
Wed., May 2, 2007, in Forest Park Cemetery, Ft. Smith, Ark. Mary Elizabeth was born June 5, 1909, to Charles and Teresa Vogel of Ft. Smith, Ark. She graduated from St. Boniface Catholic School. She married Dewey Cole on Feb. 12, 1934, in Amarillo. They made their home in Phillips where she was active in church work at St. John's Catholic Church in Borger. In 1963 the couple retired and moved to Ft. Smith. Dewey preceded her in death on June 10, 1979. Mrs. Col.e moved to Brownfield in 1992. At the time of her death she was a resident at Brownfield Rehab. and Care Center. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters and a brother. She is survived by one daughter, Millie McWhorter and her husband Don of Brownfield; a granddaughter Donna Moore and her husband Russell of Redmond, WA.; a grandson Michael McWhorter of Nashville, TN; and a great grandson Eric Moore and wife Carrie of Covington, WA. The family suggests memorials to the American Heart Assoc., in care of First National Bank, Brownfield; NursCare Hospice, 1312 Texas Ave., Lubbock, TX 79401; or Brownfield Rehab and Care Center Activity Fund, 510 N. 1st Street, Brownfield, TX 79316.
