Services for R. H. Clements, 86, of Brownfield were held Monday, Jan. 21, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rick Monger and Glen Martin officiating.   Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Mr. Clements died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, in Brownfield. He was born Nov. 18, 1921, in Woodson to Albert and Cynthia Clements. He moved with his family to Terry County in 1924 at the age of three.    He was one of ten children in his family.

Mr. Clements graduated from Brownfield High School in 1941. He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving from 1942-1948. He returned to his family and farming, remaining in farming until the present time and was making preparations for his 2008 crop at the time of his death.

He was a member of the American Legion and of Hester Street Church of Christ.. He was on the Co-op Station board for many years and was a past director of Terry County Farm Bureau and served on the FHA Board.    

Mr Clements is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters. He went to work in the vineyard in 1940 and worked until the Lord called him home.

Mr. Clements is survived by two brothers--Tom and his wife Gert of La Mirada, Calif. and William and his wife Beth of Levelland.    He is also survived by several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly and by countless friends and dear neighbors.
