Cervantes, age 64, of Brownfield, passed away Sunday, February 17,
2008 at her residence. Memorial services were held at
7:00 P.M. Wednesday February 20, at Kingdom Hall in Brownfield. Rebecca was born to Daniel and Terecina Gonzales in Grand Junction, Colorado on December 24, 1943. She married Frank Cervantes in Brownfield, Texas, on February 11, 1999. She has lived in Brownfield since 1955. Her greatest accomplishment in life is her children. She was a Jehovah Witness. Those left to cherish her memory include husband, Frank of the home, 3 Sons: Daniel Leal and Chris Leal of Donalsonville, GA and Gabriel Cruz of Savannah, GA; 2 Daughters: Rebecca Leal and Joann Castro of Lubbock, TX; 4 Step-Daughters; Stella Escobedo, Carmenalinda Gomez, Irene Valencia of Brownfield, TX and Lora Ann Cervantes of Cactus, TX; 1 Brother: Omeimo Montanio of Brownfield and 1 Sister, Beatrice of Abilene,TX. She also leaves behind 27 Grandchildren and 19 Great-Grandchildren; 13 Step-Grandchildren and 11 Step-Great-Grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 1 Daughter, Elizabeth Leon and 1 Granddaughter, Sheila Leal.
