LaVerne Caswell, 85, of Brownfield will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, April
18, 2008, at Meadow First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Land
officiating and Rev. Ken McClung assisting. Burial will be in Meadow
Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. LaVerne passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008, in Brownfield. She was born March 15, 1923, in Hollis, OK to B. F. and Pearl Sanford. She graduated from High School in Hollis, OK in 1941. She then attended College in Stillwater, OK. She married Odis Odell Caswell, June 9, 1944, in Altus, OK. They then moved to Terry County and farmed in the Meadow area. He preceded her in death Feb. 19, 1987. She was a member of Brownfield First Baptist Church. She is also preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra Ford and two grandsons, Brad and Shannon Caswell; two brothers and four sisters. She is survived by a son, Jerry Caswell and his wife Lynda of Meadow; a granddaughter, Becky Scott and her husband Ian of Roanoke, TX; six great grandchildren, Kendra Gail of Albuquerque, McKenzee Caswell of Idalou, Carlee Caswell of Idalou, Kolt Caswell of Idalou, Aaron Scott and Rece Scott of Roanoke; a brother Bob Sanford and his wife Rosie of Ft.
