Obituary for Barney Carmona

Bernabe "Barney" Carmona, age 60 passed from this life to be with his savior on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, in Lubbock.

Funeral Services for Mr. Carmona will be held Friday, December 31, 2010, at 2:00 P.M. at Templo Sinai in Brownfield with Rev. Raul Gutierrez officiating. Burial will follow in Brownfield Cemetery.

Personal services are under the direction of Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.

Barney was born June 11, 1950, to Raphael and Maria De Jesus Carmona in Cerano, Guanajuato Mexico. He moved to Brownfield in 1972 where he worked and met his wife, Belia Alvarado, whom he married on February 27, 1982.

Barney is remembered as being a very hard worker and loved to sing and play music. He had a heart of gold and was known by his daughter as being the "Triple C" dad. Cool, Calm, Collected. Friends say he always helped anyone and was a real asset to the community with all his hard work. He had a very sweet spirit and loved the lord.

Those left to cherish his memories are his Wife: Belia Carmona of the home; Mother: Maria De Jesus Estrada of Mexico; 2 Sons: Edward and Daniel Carmona of Brownfield; 1 Daughter: Mary Jane Carmona of Brownfield; and his two grandchildren: Mason and Marli Lopez of Brownfield; 1 Brother: Fidel Carmona of Brownfield, 3 Sisters: Maria, Guadalupe, and Sylvia Carmona all of Mexico.

He is preceded in death by his father who passed away in 1997.
