Glen Rowe Burns, 77, of Brownfield will be at 2:00pm, Wednesday,
March 21, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter
officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under
the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Glen passed away Monday, March 19, 2012, in a Lubbock Hospital. He was born October 26, 1934, in Linden, Texas to James Hamlin and Eddye Mary Burns. He graduated from Linden High School. Glen married Irene Jenelle Cottrell on February 7, 1955, in Lovington, NM and they moved to Brownfield in 1968. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by a son, Eddie Burns in 1982 and a sister, Mary Ann Penny. Glen is survived by his wife, Jenelle of Brownfield; a son, Shawn Burns and wife Kathy of Brownfield; a daughter, Jan Decker of Plainview; grandchildren; Tyler Decker and wife Kristin, Brooke Decker Burson and husband Donny and Michelle Burns Nolte and husband Kenny; a great granddaughter, Camryn Jenelle Decker; a sister, Bobbie Hamilton and husband Kenneth; a brother, Donald Burns and wife Wanda; several nieces and nephews. |
