services for Avo Hendricks Brown, 84, of Brownfield will be at 10:00
a.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2010, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery
with Rev. Ken Flowers officiating. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Avo passed away Friday, October 1, 2010, in Brownfield. She was born December 18, 1925, to George Dewey and Cordie Bell Stewart Hendricks in Boswell, OK. She graduated from Brownfield High School in 1943 and married Dale Brown on June 30, 1946 in Brownfield. She was employed with the Brownfield Independent School District for over 25 years as a secretary at Colonial Heights and later in the Administration Building. She was a member of Brownfield First Baptist Church. Avo is survived by her husband Dale of Brownfield; 2 daughters, Laura Henderson and husband Jim of Rocky Mount, NC. and Ava Collins and husband Tim of Lubbock; a son David Brown and wife Charly of Round Rock; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
