Bertha Flois Britton, 89, of Brownfield will be 10am, Thursday,
September 20, 2012, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Carter
officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under
the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Visitation will be held at Brownfield Funeral Home from 5-7pm on Wednesday. Flois passed away Monday, September 17, 2012, in Lubbock. She was born October 21, 1922 and married Homer Britton on November 28, 1942, in Brownfield. He preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her twin brother Foy. Flois is survived by a son, Charles Britton and his wife DeAnn of Lubbock; two daughters, Annetta Gaasch and husband Phil of Muleshoe and Janis Walkup and husband Phil of Arlington; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; a sister, Glennas Rowe of Weatherford; two brothers, GW Gunter and Don Gunter of Irving. The family suggests contributions to Brownfield Calvary Baptist Church Rose Garden Fund or Lubbock Meals on Wheels. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the Garrison Center staff and Hospice of Lubbock. |
