Hazel M. Lewis Brigance, 97, of Brownfield will be 10 am, Monday,
May 7, 2007 at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with her
Grandson, Todd Lewis, officiating. Interment will be in Terry County
Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Hazel passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007, at her home in Brownfield. She was born October 1, 1909, in Paris, TX to T.A. and Cora Tooms. She married O.G. Lewis, Aug. 20, 1927, in Hollis, OK. They moved to Brownfield in 1935. O.G. preceded her in death July 4, 1969. She then married Ferrel Brigance, March 23, 1976, in Colorado City, TX. He preceded her in death Dec. 16, 1995. Hazel was a member of Brownfield First Baptist Church. She is also preceded in death by a son, Billy Lewis, in 1963. Hazel is survived by a daughter, Sandra Lewis, of Houston; a grandson, Todd Lewis and his wife Polly of Marble Falls; two great granddaughters, Mackenzie Lewis and Natalie Lewis; her sister Fay Atkinson of Wellington; her caregiver Eileen Molina of Brownfield.
