Services for Hattie B. Brantley, 91, of Brownfield and formerly of Plains, were held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Horn and Rev. Steve Carter officiating.    Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

Hattie passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2008, in Brownfield.    She was born July 23, 1916, in Lawrence County, Tenn. to Walter Pickney and Carrie Anne Elmore and moved with her family to the Tokio Community in 1927.

She married A. G. Brantley, Dec. 3, 1932,  in Lovington, N.M. He preceded her in death Nov. 8, 1994.   She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Brownfield.

Hattie B. gave her life to the Lord when she was 43 years old and never stopped praising Him for her Salvation. She loved the Lord God with all her heart and spent many hours in Bible study, in prayer, and in telling others about her precious Savior.   In her lifetime she touched so many lives with her love and wisdom and grace.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers and her sisters and a son--C. E. "Buddy" Brantley and is survived by her son--G. W. "Sonny" and his wife--JoAnn of Midlothian; a daughter-in-law--Janelle Brantley and by six grandchildren,   14 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
