Obituary for Joyce Bond

Services for Joyce Bond, 73, of Brownfield will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, July 9, at Brownfield First Baptist Chapel with Rev. Mike Click officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Joyce passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009, in Abilene. She was born December 27, 1935, in Meadow to Troy V. and Lucille Gregory. She graduated from Meadow High School. On July 22, 1954, she married Billy Charles Bond. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2002. Joyce worked at Nelson's Pharmacy for 18 years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary.

She is also preceded in death by a brother, Troy Gregory.
Joyce is survived by a daughter, Tammy Bond and Kelly of Abilene;
two sons, Rick Bond of Brownfield and Joe Bond and wife Beverly of Gonzales; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jackie McClanahan and husband Gib of Brownfield and Charlotte Kennedy of Plains; numerous nieces and nephews; three half brothers and three half sisters.
