Raymond Ray Bohler, 82, of Brownfield will be at 10 a.m., Monday,
July 18, 2011, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Eddie
McHugh officiating. Burial will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery
under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. A family
visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Raymond passed away Thursday, July 14, 2011, in Muleshoe. He was born August 2, 1928, in Memphis, Texas to William and Estie Boehler. He graduated from Petty High School and then attended Paris Jr. College. Raymond married Joyce Hohenberger on January 14, 1950 in Selfs, Texas. He was a WWII Air Force Veteran. They moved to Brownfield in 1980. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A. and VFW. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Barney Boehler. Raymond is survived by his wife Joyce Bohler of Brownfield; a son, Jim Bohler and wife Terri of Muleshoe; a daughter, Elaine Woolls-Saurage and husband Jodie of Boerne; five grandchildren, Dr. Heidi Bohler of Springfield, Mass., Matt Bohler and wife Tina of Muleshoe, Jamie Shipp and husband Gene of Muleshoe, Randy Bohler of Muleshoe and Eli Woolls of Boerne; three great grandchildren, Garison and Jason Bohler and Abby Shipp; three brothers, Richard Boehler of Mt. Pleasant, Alvin Boehler and Billy Boehler both of Paris; four sisters, Jean Thompson of Paris, Jessie Hall, Robbie Wilbanks and Helen Williams all of Sherman.
