services for C. A. "Allen" Blankenship, 96, of Brownfield were held
Saturday, Jan. 19, at Terry County Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Les
Jackson officiating under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home. Mr. Blankenship died Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2008, at his home. He was born May 25, 1911, to Thurman John and Addie May Blankenship in Tahoka. He married Hallie Pauline Worsham Dec. 19, 1936, in Brownfield. She preceded him in death Sept. 4, 1998. He is also preceded in death by his brothers and sisters and two sons--Dugan and Royce Allen Blankenship. Mr. Blankenship is survived by one son--Cecil of Washington, Mo. He is also survived by five grandchildren--Kurt Blankenship of Brownfield, Kim Bevers of Lubbock, Kyra Blankenship of Lubbock, Erin Blankenship of Lincoln, Neb. and Eric Blankenship of Troy, Mo., and by five great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
