Carol Blair, 61, of Brownfield will be at 1 pm, Wednesday, June 13,
2012, at Meadow First Baptist Church with Rev. Ken McClung
officiating. Burial will be in Meadow Cemetery under the direction
of Brownfield Funeral Home. There will be a family visitation from 6-8pm, Tuesday at the funeral home. Carol passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012, in Lubbock. She was born August 14, 1950, in Canyon, Texas to Joe and Barbara Cullender. She graduated from Canadian High School, was an undergraduate of West Texas State University and then received her Master's in Math from Texas Tech University. She was a member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Carol married Jerry Blair in Canadian on July 29, 1972. She taught school in Meadow and Brownfield for 27 years. She was a lifetime member of the Texas State Teachers Association and the Women's Club and was a member of Meadow First Baptist Church. Carol is preceded in death by her father; her mother-in-law, Lois Blair; a sister-in-law, Sylvia Cullender. Carol is survived by her husband, Jerry of Brownfield; 2 daughters, Lesli Kerth and husband Chris of College Station and Julie Little of Lubbock; 3 grandchildren, Nathan Kerth, Kaden Bradford and Dawson Little; her mother, Barbara McLemore of Canadian; 2 brothers, Mike Cullender of Dripping Springs and Jeff Cullender and wife JJ of Canadian; a sister, Cristy Daniell and husband Jeff of Florence; father-in-law, Willie Blair of Meadow. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Research Association. |
