Obituary for Della Belle Benton

Services for Della Belle Benton, 90, of Brownfield were held Wednesday, Jan. 30, at Brownfield Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Bob Reynolds officiating.   Burial was in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.

Mrs. Benton died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008, in Lubbock.   She was born May 1, 1917, in Stillwater, Okla., to Ed and Edith Stevens. She moved to Leonard where she attended school then moved with her family to Terry County in 1934.    She was a member of Tahoka Road Church of Christ.

Mrs. Benton married W. L. "Doc" Benton, Oct. 20, 1934, in Lubbock. He preceded her in death Nov. 21, 1989.   She is also preceded in death by a grandson, Brian Benton.

Mrs. Benton is survived by three sons--Jim and his wife--Yvonne of Dayton and Ed and his wife--May and Steve and his wife--Judy, all of Brownfield.

She is also survived by six grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.    The family would like to express special thanks to VistaCare Hospice.
