Bentley, 60, of Lubbock and formerly of Brownfield passed away on
Wednesday, November 11, 2009, in Lubbock. Memorial Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at First Christian Church in Brownfield with Rev. Brent McCall officiating. Paula was born on Dec. 25, 1948, in Brownfield to Walter and Jewel Gandy. She grew up in Welch, attending schools in Dawson. She married Charles Bentley on Oct. 27, 1989, in Virginia. Paula owned Act II Real Estate in Brownfield for six years. She then was employed by McDougal Real Estate. She served on the Brownfield City Council, was a member of First Christian Church in Brownfield for eight years, and then became a member of Raintree Christian Church in Lubbock. Paula is survived by her husband, Charles Bentley of Lubbock; her mother, Jewel "Judy" Gandy of Flowermound; two sons, Tim Bentley and his wife Karen of Dallas and Troy Nelson and his wife Suzanne of Palmer; her daughter, Rayna Renshaw and her husband David of Lubbock; two brothers, Gene Gandy and his wife Dawn of Flowermound and Lane Barton and his wife Rita of Odessa; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
