Obituary for Doris Beck

Doris Beck, 84, of Brownfield passed away Monday, March 16, 2009, at Brownfield Rehabilitation Center.

She was born Aug. 31, 1924, in Mineral Wells to Gus and Maggie Estill. She attended school at Union and Gomez.

Doris was a loving homemaker, wife and mother. She married Raymond Beck, March 9, 1940, in Brownfield. He preceded her in death Dec. 1, 1982. She also was preceded in death by six sisters and three brothers, as well as six half brothers and sisters.

Survivors include four sons, Doyle of Oklahoma, Mickey of Seminole, Danny of Winona and Randy of Lindell, two daughters, Doris Jean Payne of Brownfield and Jean Ann Beck of Maryland, 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother, James Fleming Estill of Brownfield, and a sister Francis Allene Crawford of Arlington.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Brownfield Funeral Home. Interment will be in Terry County Memorial Cemetery.

The family will accept visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.
