Clifford Elvoyd Barton

                     Clifford Elvoyd "Bart" Barton, 83 of Brownfield, passed away Saturday, October 29,
                     2005, in Abilene.   Mr. Barton was born to Thomas and Ruth Barton on July 21, 1922,
                     in Childress.  He attended and graduated from the Union School District.  He has been
                     a resident of Brownfield since 1945.

                     Mr. Barton was a farmer and businessman.  He served his country proudly from 1942
                     to 1945 in the Army.   He was a member of the Masons and a member of the Bethany
                     Baptist Church.    

                     He was married to Marcella Kathleen Garner in 1946 and later married Mildred Iona
                     McKenzie on February 14, 2002.    Left to cherish his memories are 3 daughters:
                     Randa Cannon of Brownfield; Kathie Steele of Chugiak, Alaska, and Lanetta Tuck of
                     Midland; 4 Sisters:  Toybelle Herring of Union, Robbie Hulse, Johnnie McCutcheon
                     and Clover Chambers all of Brownfield; six Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren. 
                     He was preceded in death by both wives and 1 sister, Wanda Smith.

                     Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at Bethel
                     Baptist Church in Brownfield with Rev. Britt Atkins officiating.    Personal Services are
                     being provided by Mark A. Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.
