Joe G. Barrera, Jr.,
21 of Brownfield, passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2005,
in Wolfforth. He was born to Jose and Norma Barrera on April
5, 1984, in Lubbock,
Texas. He graduated from Brownfield High School in 2002 and attended
South Plains
College. He worked at the Pizza Hut as a shift manager.
A Rosary service was held at 7:00 P.M. Monday and Tuesday evenings at St.
Anthony's
Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass was at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday,
November 23, 2005,
at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating.
Those left to cherish his memories include his parents, Jose & Norma
Barrera, of Brown-
field; Maternal Grandfather, Frank Hernandez of Levelland; Maternal Great
Grandmother,
Teresa Hermandez of Levelland and Paternal Grandfather Alejandro Barrera of
Brown-
field; & one sister Stephanie Barrera of Brownfield.
He was preceded in death by Maternal Grandmother, Connie Hernandez, and Paternal
Grandmother, Hermilla Barrera.
