Barnes, 58, of Brownfield, passed away November 1, 2011, at Covenant
Medical Center in Lubbock. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 9, at Brownfield Funeral Home Chapel. Vicki was born in Brownfield on March 13, 1953, to Daniel and Victoria Minshew. She graduated from West Lamar and married Larry Barnes on October 9, 1971, in Petty. In 1982 she graduated from Paris Junior College with a nursing degree. Vicki was a licensed vocational nurse at BRMC Rudd unit for three years. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kimball Craig Minshew. Vicki is survived by: her husband, Larry Barnes of Brownfield; a son, Erick Barnes of Littlefield, her brother, Vernon Dan Minshew of Brookston, her first cousins, Lee and Dewey Carpenter of Slaton, Carol Carpenter of Slaton and close relatives which include the Martinez family.
