Services for Dorothy Evelyn Ballew, 83, of Brownfield were held Tuesday, Aug.
22,
in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Addington officiating.
Burial was in O'Donnell Cemetery in O'Donnell.
Mrs. Ballew died Saturday, Aug. 19, 2006 in Brownfield. She was born
Sept. 13, 1922
in Winters to H.G. and Beatrice Godwin and was married to Donald Ballew
on May 22, 1939 in O'Donnell. He died on Aug. 22, 1997.
She moved to Brownfield in 1948 and worked as a cook for civic clubs in
Brownfield
for many years. She was a member of the Brownfield First United
Methodist Church
where she served as secretary for the United Methodist Women.
She is survived by one sister--Doris Lawrence of Ramona, Calif.; one
brother--Lamar Godwin
of LaMesa, Calif. and numerous nieces and nephews.
