Jose Luis Arenas, 52, passed from this life on Saturday, April 4, 2009, at his home in Brownfield.

Funeral mass for Mr. Arenas was held at 10 A.M.Wednesday, April 8, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church with Father Gerald Leatham officiating. Burial followed at Brownfield Cemetery. Personal services were under the direction of Mark A Jones Funeral Directors of Brownfield.

Mr. Arenas was born on Feb. 11, 1957, to Luis and Aurelia Arenas in Delicias, Chihuahua, Mexico. He married the love of his life, Margarita Perales, in Brownfield on Sept. 23, 1980.

Those left to cherish his memories include wife of 28 years, Margarita of the home; mother: Aurelia Arenas of Delicias, Chihuahua; four sons, Luis Arenas of Frisco, Daniel Arenas, Eloy Arenas and Adrian Arenas and wife Malorie, all of Brownfield; one daughter, Jasmin Romero and husband Manuel of Brownfield; two brothers, Jesus Arenas and Juan Manuel Arenas both of Delicias, Chihuahua; eight sisters, Maria Del Refugio Arenas, Maria Isidra Arenas, Maria Del Rosario Arenas, Josefina Arenas, Cesarea Lourdes Arenas, Marisela Arenas and Maria Guadalupe Arenas, all of Delicias, Chihuahua, and Elvira Segovia of Boise City, Okla. He also leaves behind three grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his father, Luis Arenas, and one daughter, Griselda Arenas, in 1983.
