76, died on Monday, Dec. 24, 2007, at her home in Wellman.
A celebration of her life was held Thursday, Dec. 27, at the First
United Methodist Church in Brownfield with Rev. Beverly Titus
officiating and Rev. Charles Addington assisting.
Graveside services were held at the Terry County Cemetery. Mrs. Adams was born on March 28, 1931, to John and Martha Duggan in Abernathy. She married Roy Earnest Adams on Jan. 14, 1949, in Brownfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter--Rita Adams Hays; two brothers--Arthur Duggan and James Duggan and two sisters--Susie Perkins and Pearlene Upchurch. Mrs. Adams is survived by her husband--Roy of Wellman; one son: Royce Allen of Brownfield; and one sister--Edna Lois Baldwin of Mississippi. She is also survived by two grandsons--Shaun Adams of Brownfield and Aaron Hays of Dallas; two granddaughters--Melissa Cape and her husband--Robert of Lubbock and Shelly Hartin and her husband--David of San Angelo and one great-granddaughter--Hannah Hartin. The family requests memorials be made in honor of Mrs. Adams to the American Heart Association or the Debbie Adams Scholarship Fund at the Wellman-Union ISD. Brownfield News |
