Funeral services for Shirley Ann Owen, 48, of Bay City will be held at 11 am Thursday, Feb 4, 1999 in the Bay City Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jim Hardaway officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck.                                           

Owen died Monday, Feb 1 at the University Texas Medical Branch in Galveston.  She was born Nov. 6, 1950 in Bay City to James Howard and Alline Miller Wells.

Owen is survived by her husband, Roy Dean Owen of Bay City; mother, Alline Wells of El Campo, daughter, Dusty Parks of El Campo; son, Kendall Byron Owen of Bay City; and sisters, Debbie Malek of El Campo, Donna Broach of Alvarado, TX: and Pam Green of Louise.  She was preceded in death by her father, James Wells and sister, Sandra Wells.

Pallbearers are Roy Douglas Chase, Chris Broussard, Jeff Sellers, Tuffy Tweedle, Alan Sellers, and Ronnie Cardwell.

Arrangements are with Bay City Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Marie A. Pavlik, 81, of Bay City will be held 10:30 am Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with Monsignor James Brunner officiating.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck. A rosary will be held at 7:30 pm Tuesday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home Chapel.

She was born July 4, 1907 in Cistern, Texas, to Louis and Mary Annie Psencik Zrubek and died Aug. 7, 1988, at Matagorda General Hospital.  A resident of Bay City for 45 years, she was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church, the Holy Cross Altar Society, and the Legion of Mary.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Jaro and Sue Pavlik of Dallas, Anthony and Mary Pavlik and Joe L. and Dolores Pavlik, all of Houston; a sister Lucille Rutkowske of Cuero, Texas; a brother, Joe Zrubek of Liverpool, Texas; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Gary, Mike and Johnny Pavlik, Karl Meyer, Ken Williams and Todd Galle.  Honorary pallbearers include Larry and Roger Pavlik.  She was preceded in death by her husband, August Pavlik, in 1967.  Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.

Debra LeBlanc Plunkett

Funeral service was held 1 pm Monday, March 1, 2004, at Christ Episcopal Church in Matagorda, Texas for Debbie Plunkett, formerly Debra LeBlanc, who died February 26, 2004 at Herman Hospital in Houston, Texas.

Interment followed at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck, Texas.

Pallbearers were John Hayden, Leroy Saucedo, Carlos Anderson, Joe Trevino, Fred Brown and Marco Huerto.

Honorary pallbearers were Mike Stone and the employees of the grass farm.

Survivors include: husband, James W. Plunkett; two daughters, Stacey E. and Megan C. Plunkett all of Bay City; sister, Janine L. Curol and her husband Perry Curol; nephew and godchild Brandon Ross Taylor all of New Iberia, LA; her devoted aunt (godmother) Theresa Credeur and her husband S. C. Hoskins; her uncle, Carrol Credeur and his wife Marlene of Lafayette, LA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Shelia Plunkett of Bay City; three grandchildren, Simmony Fojtik of Edna, Mark and Asher Walters of Bay City.

She also leaves behind many other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Wilson and Clara Bell Credeur LeBlanc; two infant children, Jeromy James Plunkett and Robyn Lynn Bower; maternal grandmother, Ella Babineaux Trahan; grandfathers, LaDias Trahan and Leodois Credeur; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jules LeBlanc; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eddie and Alma Plunkett Sr. of Bay City; brother-in-law, Eddie Plunkett Jr. of Bay City.

Debbie was a devoted wife, mother and friend. She was born in Lafayette LA on September 21, 1956 and came to Bay City 20 years ago.

She was office manager for Michael Stone Grass Farms in Bay City, where she will be greatly missed.

In death, as in life, Debbie continues to be a giving person.

She was an organ donor to Life Gift Organ Donation Center.

Her family felt that through her death someone else might live.

The family would like to thank the staff in the NICU Herman Memorial Hospital in Houston for all the compassion and care shown to their beloved Debbie and her family.

Graveside services for Bianca Ann Ramirez, infant, will be held 11 am Friday at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.

Ramirez was born April 21, 1992 in Galveston to Joe Angel and Rhonda Arrambide Ramirez of Bay City and died April 28, 1992 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston.

She is survived by her parents; maternal grandfather, Joe Arrambide of Port Lavaca; maternal grandmother, Yolanda Aleman of Bay City; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Guadalupe Ramirez of Wharton; a brother, Erie Ramirez of Bay City and a sister, Veronica Ann Ramirez of Bay City.

Arrangements were made with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Maria S Ramirez, 67, of Sugar Valley will be held 2 PM Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Reverend Edward Boren officiating. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.  Miss Ramirez was born October 14th 1924 in Bishop to Juan A. and Ophelia Sandoval Ramirez and died Sept. 30, 1992 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.

She was a member of the Catholic Church and a resident of Sugar Valley for the past 16 years.

Survivors include her mother, Ophelia Ramirez of Sugar Valley; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Emilia Rodriguez of Sugar Valley, Aurora and Manuel Gutierrez of Eagle Lake, Hilma Figueroa of Bay City, Bertha and Robert Tapia of Corpus Christi and Alma and Ben Garza of Sugar Valley; three brothers and four sisters-in-law, Manuel and Antonia Ramirez of Houston, Eloyed and Isabella Ramirez and Jess and Alma Ramirez of Corpus Christi and Lucy Ramirez of Pledger and numerous nieces and nephews.

Miss Ramirez was preceded in death by her father, Juan A, Ramirez in 1953 and a brother, Guadalupe Ramirez in 1982.

Pallbearers will be Eloy Gutierrez, Ruben Ramirez, Johnnie Ramirez, Juan E. Ramirez Jr., Vidal Garza and Lupe Ramirez Jr.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ronnie Garza and Mario Tapia.  

Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home of Bay City.
