Eloisa Losoya Yanez
(December 21, 1930 - September 10, 2014)

Eloisa Losoya Yanez, 83, of Bay City passed away September 10, 2014. She was born December 21, 1930 in Midfield, TX to the late Estanislado Losoya and Phillipa Gonzalez Losoya.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lupe H. Yanez, Sr., sons Robert & Patrick Yanez, daughters Lucille Rubio & Anna M. Montalvo and granddaughter Lisa Yanez.

Survivors include children Lupe H. Yanez, Jr. & wife Delia of Alvin, Sam Rubio of Winnie, Mack L. Yanez & wife Margaret of Danbury, Charles Yanez of Bay City, Irene Escobar & husband Wally of Bay City, Paula Sedillo of Lake Jackson and Ernest Yanez of Bay City, brothers Robert Losoya, Joe Losoya & Simon Losoya, sisters Leonora Aguilera, Josie Tamez, Belle Castaneda & Delfa Lucio, 26 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Friday, September 12, 2014 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be 10:00 AM Saturday, September 13, 2014 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Harvey Arnold Yates
(June 18, 1938 - September 23, 2013)

Harvey Arnold Yates, 75, passed away at his home in Bay City on September 23, 2013. He was born June 18, 1938 in Bartlesville, OK.

Harvey is survived by his wife Mary Ann Yates,his two sons; Harvey Yates Jr. and Mike Yates, grandaughter Mia Ann Yates and numerous neices and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, September 27 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Memorials may be made in his name to Faith Family Church of Tarrant County, P.O. Box 164252, FT Worth, TX 76161.

Isidro Ybarra
March 22, 1954 – March 4, 2013

Isidro Ybarra, 58, formerly of Bay City passed away on March 4, 2013, at his residence in Houston, Texas.

He was born on March 22, 1954, in Palacios, Texas to Ralph and Rosenda Briseno Ybarra.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He is survived by: his father, Ralph Ybarra of Bay City; brother, Venancio (Lucy) Ybarra of Angleton; sister, Oralia (Jimmy) Solis of Bay City; nephews, Venancio, Jr (Lucy) and Rudy Ybarra; nieces, April, Marcy and Crystal Ybarra; great-nephew Daniel Ybarra, all of Houston. He is also survived by his maternal aunts Clara Cruz of Palacios and Sabina Rodriguez of Victoria; paternal aunt, Isabel Ybarra of Bay City; and numerous cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2103 at Emanuel Baptist Church in Bay City with the Rev. Candido Gonzales officiating.

Reynaldo Ybarra

March 30, 1912 – October 29, 1999

 

Reynaldo Ybarra, 87, of Bay City, died Friday October 29, 1999.

 

He was born March 30, 1912, in Goliad, to the late Rosa and Albino Ybarra.

 

Survivors:  daughters, Herlinda Alvarado of El Campo and Delores Pena of Houston; a son, Ray Ybarra of Houston; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by: wife, Olivia Ledesma Ybarra.

 

A Rosary will be held today at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with Father Edward Boren officiating.

 

Burial will be at Cedarvale Cemetery. Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City, (409) 245-4613.

George Bristo Yeager Jr.

August 31, 1921 - May 1, 2015

George Bristo Yeager Jr., was born to George Bristo and Vencie Shrivers Yeager, on August 31, 1921. He went to be with his Lord, May 1, 2015, at the age of 93.

He was a devout Christian man, having devoted his life to serving the Lord, and the First United Methodist Church of Bay City, Texas. He became a member in 1937, and served in many capacities, including: Lay Leader, Sunday-School teacher, member of the Men’s Wesley Bible Class, and served on the building committee for the present church sanctuary.

George graduated from Bay City High School in 1939 and joined the work force at Western Auto, until 1942. At that time, he began his career as a sub clerk, with the US Post Office.

In 1942, while working at the Post Office, George enlisted in the U.S. Naval Reserves and was called to service in 1943. He served his country during World War II as a Lt. J.G., flying F6F Hellcats from the Naval Carrier U.S.S. Shangri-la, stationed in the Pacific Theater.

After basic training and receiving his commission, George came home on leave, and married Dorothy Margerum, from Palacios, Texas, September 4, 1944. She has been a loving and devoted wife for 70 years.

When the war ended, George and Dorothy made their home in Bay City and he went back to his job at the Post Office. There, he continued for thirty-five years, and retired as Postmaster, September 9, 1977.

George contributed many hours of service to the community. He was active in Little League and the Lion’s Club. He was a loyal friend who was always ready to lend a helping hand. His motto was, “Help Somebody today.”

He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, quilting, and embroidering. With Dorothy, they created many beautiful quilts. He also enjoyed planting trees and building fences. The most important thing in life to George was his family. His happiest times were spent fishing with his son, George Robert, working with daughter, Vencie Dee and her horses, or just sitting and quilting with Dorothy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Vencie Yeager; and sisters, Janice Sailor, and Jean Hadley.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; proud son, George Robert; loving daughter, Vencie Dee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to convey special thanks to Amy Keffer, MD, Mark Schnee, MD, Gina Hinman and Houston Hospice of El Campo, especially Marie and Linda, for their loving care, helping George along his journey, as he fought the good fight and continued his faith in reaching his heavenly home.

Friends registered at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., Monday, May 4, 2015.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Russ Munch officiating.

Interment followed at Cedarvale Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bobby Margerum, Kevin Margerum, Tripp Chenault, Jay Chenault, Robbie Chenault and Joe M. Yeager.

Honorary pallbearers were Tillman Daniel, MD, Dwight Hadley, Chris Hartsfield, Tom Fields, Lamar Evans and Mike Mariner.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to the First United Methodist Church of Bay City; or to Houston Hospice-El Campo, 1102 N. Mechanic, El Campo, TX 77437.

Dorothy Margerum Yeager
February 25, 1922 - July 14, 2023

Dorothy graduated from Palacios high School.  After graduating she worked in Bay City and met George Yeager.  They married on September 4, 1911 and made their home in Bay City where they raised their two children.  Dorothy was a devoted mother to her children and a loving wife to George for 70 years.

She was a devout Christian and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bay City.  She became a member in 1950 and served in many capacities including Sunday School Teacher, member of the Women’s Wesley Bible Class and was voted mother of the year in 1975.  She enjoyed being a member and volunteer of many groups through the years.  She loved spending time with family and especially making lovely quilts with George.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert Margerum and Naomi Margerum Schoultz, her husband George Yeager, her son George Robert Yeager and many other beloved family members.

Survivors include daughter Vencie Dee Yeager Hartsfield; sister Jeannie Mount; sister-in-law Virginia Margerum and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at the First Methodist Church.  Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jim Welch officiating.  Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be Jay Chenault, Tripp Chenault, Robbie Chenault, Bobby Margerum, Kevin Margerum and Colton Pierce.  Dwight Hadley will serve as honorary pallbearer.

Jeanette V. Yeamans

Jeanette V. Yeamans, 83, of Bay City died May 20 at the Matagorda House. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include: husband, Charles Yeamans of Bay City; sister, Mary L. Johns of Bronxville, New York; five nieces and two nephews. Funeral services will be held May 23 at 10:30 a. m. at Taylor Bros. Chapel with Rev. W. D. Baker officiating. Interment will be at the Roselawn Memorial Park. Arrangements with Taylor Bros. Lloyd Martin Yeamans

Lloyd Martin Yeamans, 86, a long-time former resident of Perry’s Landing/Jones Creek and a Dow Chemical retiree, died March 12, 2002.

He was the loving and devoted husband of Mary Gruener Yeamans for 33 years.  The two were married at midnight on January 1, 1969 at the Gulf Prairie Presbyterian Church in Jones Creed.  Services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, March 15, 2002 at First United Methodist Church in Sealy, Texas.  Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm, Thursday, March 14, 2002 at the Knesek Brothers Funeral Home in Sealy, Texas.

A descendent of the Yeamans clan that settled in Matagorda in the 1830s, Lloyd was born in Clemville, Texas, the son of Samuel Horace Yeamans and Mary DeLala McKissick.  He was an early employee of Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, where he was a skilled machinist.  Lloyd retired in 1970 and moved with his wife to their ranch near Sealy.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Mary; his son, James of Austin; stepsons, David Gruener and wife Flo of Jones Creek and Claude Gruener and partner Doug Ponisi of Austin; grandchildren, Bill Lowrey IV, wife Michele and children, Samantha and Kristian, Ann Miniot, husband Steve and son Nathan James, David Charles Gruener, wife Christine and children Emily and Mason and Vicki Sweat, husband Johnny Ray and children Cody and Tyler.  Lloyd is also survived by his special lifetime friends, Vernon and Kate Ryman of Brazoria.

Preceding him in death were his first wife, Ruth Marie Sansing Yeamans; and his daughter, Wilma Yeamans Lowery.

Lloyd will be buried at the Van Vleck Cemetery.

Wayne E. Yeamans
(July 25, 1943 - November 12, 2013)

Wayne E. Yeamans, 70, of Matagorda passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2013. He was born July 25, 1943 in Bay City to the late Woodrow Yeamans Sr. & Trilby Bond. Wayne was a life long resident of Matagorda. He was employed by Matagorda County Precinct 2, and Colorado River Locks for 31 years. Wayne was very active in the Matagorda community through various charitable groups. He was a member of the Matagorda Volunteer Fire dept. and served on the Matagorda ISD School Board. Wayne enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, visiting with friends at his barn “Wayne’s Place”, and performing in the band, “Big W. and the Crystals.”

He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Karen Yeamans of Matagorda; 4 children: Cheryl Yeamans of Matagorda; Beth Yeamans of Matagorda; Doug & Amy Yeamans of Boling, and Greg & Pam Yeamans of Wadsworth; and sister: Debra Bradley of Smithville. Wayne was preceded in death by his father: Woodrow Yeamans Sr.; mother: Trilby Bond; sisters: Bobbie Smith and Katherine Roberts; and brother: Woodrow Yeamans Jr.

Family will receive visitors from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Friday, November 15, 2013 at the funeral home. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church of Matagorda with Rev.Virgil Ichtertz officiating. Interment will follow at Matagorda Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jim Gann, George Deshotels, Greg Baker, David Allen, James Ward, and Gary Synatsch. Funeral services for Dave Young, 88, of Bay City, will be held Saturday, November 3, 2001, at 1 p.m. at Enterprise Baptist Church, Bay City, with the Rev. J. Weldon Gilbert, pastor and the Rev. Danny Davis of Jordan Grove Baptist Church of Houston officiating.

Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Bay City.

Visitation will be Friday until 9 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

He was born in Sargent, Texas, Thursday, November 5, 1912, to John Young and Nellie Mack Young, and passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2001, at Park Plaza Hospital in Houston.

Young graduated from Jack Yates High School, Houston, Texas. Afterward, he attended Prairie View A & M College, Prairie View, Texas. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in mathematics.

Later, he attended Texas Southern University in Houston and received his Master’s Degree. Extensive study was achieved from the University of California in Los Angeles.

After serving several years in the military, his professional career in education began at A. G. Hilliard High School in Bay City.

He was later bestowed the honor of becoming the first principal of Linnie Roberts Elementary School in Bay City.

Among his civic involvements included membership with the Kiwanis Club.

His religious affiliations included his devoted membership with Enterprise Baptist Church. There, he served faithfully for many years, which included his former post as financial secretary, and as a deacon.

His examples and principles by which he lived will always be remembered by those he served.

Survivors include: two sisters, Isabella Lewis and Millie Pierce and one brother, Willard Young; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Among those who preceded him in death included his wife, Naomi Boone Young.

Elizabeth Young, 93, of Bay City passed away October 16, 2013. She was born October 31, 1919 in Hungerford, TX to the late William Bond Harris and Dora Lynn George Harris. She was a retired Librarian, a job she truly adored.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Wesley Young, Jr., son Jack Wesley Young III and brother Ray Harris. Survivors include son Clark Young & wife Cynthia of Bay City; sister Bonnie Lynn Harris Busch; grandchildren Marcy Craft & husband Frank, Jack Wesley Young IV & wife Kay, Barton Pierce Young & wife Lucy, Richard Young, Rachel Lemaire and Robert Whitley and great grandchildren Chad S. Craft & wife Sayrah, Courtney Elizabeth Craft, Kenzie Layne Young, Chloe Dawn Young, Breeana Pierce Young, Haley, Lane & Ty Lemaire and great-great granddaughter Mary Margaret Ann Craft.

Floyd H. Young, 86, of Bay City, died June 23, 1983, in Bay Villa Nursing Home.  Graveside service will be 2 pm Saturday from the Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck.  He is survived by; wife, Mrs. Floyd Young of Bay City; two sons, James Young of Houston and Milton Young of Miami, Fla.; two daughters, Nell Brandt of Seabrook and Jody McAtee of Beaumont; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, O. O. Shield of Baytown, nephew, Lysie Young of West Columbia, and niece, Nancy Elrod of Kerrville.  Services are under the direction of Dick R. Elkins, Bay City Funeral Home.

Naomi Boone Young

Funeral services for Naomi Boone Young, 83, of Bay City were held at 11 a. m. Saturday, Oct. 10, 1998 at Tyree Chapel A. M. E. Church in Bay City, Rev. R. R. Simon officiating. Burial followed at Eastview Cemetery.

Young was born Feb. 2, 1915 in Lynville, TX to Hampton Boone and Carrie McNeil Boone and died Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Legacy-Matagorda Healthcare Center. She obtained an education from Powell Point High School in Kendleton, TX. There a desire to become an educator matured.

She furthered her education at Prairie View A&M College, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree, Texas Southern University, obtaining a Master's degree, and then additional studies at the University of California in Los Angeles.

As a retired educator, her professional career spans over 38 years, which included many years of teaching students. She taught at Mable Kennedy School in Cedar Lane, the Jasper Independent School District, the La Marque Independent School District, the Van Vleck Independent School District, and the Bay City Independent School District.

Her examples, principles, and counsel will be remembered by those she served. Young's civic involvement included memberships with the Olive Leaf Chapter #219, Order of Easter Star, and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. "Sister Young" was a devoted member of Tyree Chapel A. M. E. Church in Bay City where she served faithfully.

Her christian involvement included participation as a choir member, a Stewardess with the Missionary Society, and the Daughters of Allen. She leaves a spiritual legacy to her family and friends, and will be remembered for her radiant smile, charm, graciousness, and zest for life.

Young is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dave Young, Jr. of Bay City; god-daughter and son-in-law, Carrie Armelin Metoyer and Reginald of Houston, Joyce Petteway of Los Angeles; sisters, Erma Boone Stevens and Lottie Boone Witherspoon, both of Bay City; sisters-in-law, Isabelle Young Lewis, and Millie Young Pierce; brother-in-law, Willard Young, all of Houston; nieces, Lois Armelin of Bay City, Brenda Armelin, and Arthurene Boone both of Bay City; nephews, Wellington Armelin, Jr. of Bay City, Hampton Armelin, and Alonzo Roy Armelin all of Bay City; great nieces and nephews; and extended family of relatives including a cousin, Dorothy Walton and devoted nephew Willard Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Maude B. Harris and Fannie B. Armelin; and brothers, Lloyd Boone and Arthur Boone.

Serving as pallbearers were Wellington Armelin, Jr., Roy Armelin, Hampton Armelin, Willie Boulden, Willard Johnson, and Jason Metoyer.

Honorary pallbearers included the Tyree Chapel Sanctuary choir, Stewardess Board, daughters of Allen, and the Missionary Society, as well as the Olive Leaf Chapter #219, OES, and the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

Nell James Young

Nell Frances Young

Graveside services for Nell Frances Young, 86, of Houston, formerly of Bay City, will be held 11:30 am Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck, with the Rev. John M. Richardson officiating. 

Mrs. Young was born March 18, 1901, in Duncan Okla., to Harry and Mary E. Gentry James and died July 6, 1987, in Houston.

She and her husband were owners of Young’s Paint and Wallpaper Store in Bay City for many years before retiring. She was a member of First Christian Church. 

Survivors include two daughters, Nell Brandt of Seabrook and Jody McAtee of Beaumont; two sons, James Young of Houston and Milton Young of Miami, Fla.; a sister, Madelyn Shields of Baytown; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd H. Young, in 1983.

Services are under the direction of Dick R. Elkins, Bay City Funeral Home.

Mary Vest Younts


Mary Vest Younts, 87, of Bay City died May 22, 2003 in Angleton.

She was born August 10, 1915 in Bay City to the late Joel Waverely and Elizabeth Battaile Vest.

Mrs. Younts was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She graduated from Bay City High School in 1933.

She taught first grade for 31 years with the Bay City Independent School District.

Survivors include: her only daughter and son-in-law, Lynda and Wayne (Coonie) Roberds of Angleton; two grandchildren, Clint Roberds and wife, Jana of Jasper, Texas, and Robyn Roberds of Sugar Land; and one great granddaughter, Madison Roberds of Jasper.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Albert Younts; sisters, Maney Gusman and Frances Grebe and brother, Billy Vest.

Funeral service will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, May 24, 2003, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with the Rev. Pauline Harvey officiating.

Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck.

Lena Lois Younts

Lena Lois Younts, 90, of Bay City passed away at ther home October 9, 2001, after a brief illness. She was born March 28, 1911 in Belton, Texas to the late George Edwin and Lena Leona Calhoun Fuller. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sweeny. Mrs. Younts resided in Temple, Bay City and Sweeny prior to making her final home in Bay City in 1997. She retired from the Sweeny Telephone Company in 1962 after 24 years of service. She was very active in the Daughters of the American Revolution, United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Colonists, Colonial Dames, and Magna Charta Dames. Her greatest enjoyment was traveling all over the world.

W. and Vernie Younts of Bay City; daughters, Janice Swinford of West Columbia, and Delores Younts of Sweeny; sisters, Margaret Wheeler of Cone, Texas, and Mildred Foster of Boise, Idaho; grandchildren, Arthur Rogers, Sidney Rogers, Vonne Davis, Christine Vaughan, Lynn Younts, Carol Younts, Mickey Goolsby, Debbie Hempsmyer and Earl Hassell; 18 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Arthur Wilson Younts; daughter, Olivia Nell Younts; grandson, Wilson Younts; sisters Hassie Lane, Doris Nell King and Christine Poteet; and brother Charles Fuller.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, October 11, 2001 at the First Baptist Church of Sweeny with the Rev. Jeryl Watkins officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck. Pallbearers will be Lynn Younts, Mickey Goolsby, Robert Goolsby, Earl Hassell, Channing Hempsmyer and Larry hempsmyer.

Joyce Kovar Younts

Funeral services for Joyce Kovar Younts, 65, of Bryan are scheduled for 1 pm Saturday, Feb. 8, 1997 from Phillips Luckey Funeral Home Chapel in Caldwell with Pastor Neil Bockelmann officiating.  Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Van Vleck at 4 pm Saturday, Feb. 8.

Mrs. Younts died Wednesday evening at Columbia Medical Center in College Station.

She was born July 30, 1931 in Caldwell to Joe and Minnie Bohl Kovar. She was employed in their Houston office for more than 30 years prior to her retirement in 1990. She was a member of the Lutheran faith.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, painting, gardening, and reading.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son Wilson Neal Younts; four brothers, George Kovar, Kenneth Kovar, Joe Kovar, and Leroy Kovar.

Flossie Yoxtheimer

February 28, 1934 - September 8, 2014

Flossie “Bobbie” Yoxtheimer, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 8, 2014.

She was born on February 28, 1934, in El Campo, Texas, to the late Louis and Francis Applegate Matura.

Flossie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She and her husband, Lloyd George, worked at the Texas Theatre for 33 years. Flossie loved the Lord and could not wait to be with Him in heaven.

Flossie is survived by her children, Rob Yoxtheimer and wife Evy, David Yoxtheimer and wife Marcy; grandchildren, Kimi Rozner and husband Mike, and Talia Yoxtheimer; great-grandchildren, Kyson and Kyza Rozner; sisters, Margie Sain, Kathy Corporon, Louise Lansford, Lois Guzman and Ruby Oros; brothers, Lester Matura and Dan Matura; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Flossie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd George Yoxtheimer; grandson, Kevin Yoxtheimer; and brothers, Orvel Matura, Leonard Matura, Raymond Matura and J. D. Matura.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home, Bay City, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 11, 2014, at Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck, Texas, with the Rev. Bob Hobbins officiating.

Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.

Lloyd George Yoxtheimer

Funeral services for Lloyd George Yoxtheimer, 74, of Bay City were held at 4:30 pm Tuesday, July 6 at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel in Bay City with Rev. Sonny Salas officiating.  Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck.

Mr. Yoxtheimer passed away Sunday, July 4 in Wharton, TX. He was born November 15, 1924 in Keating, McKean County, Penn. To Edgar Yoxtheimer and Eva May Dalley Yoxtheimer. He had been a resident of Bay City for the past fifty years, was a member of the Methodist Church, and a retired Theater Manager after managing the former Texas Theater for thirty three years and the Bay Cinema Theater for two years.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy, serving in WWII and had received the Pacific Theater Ribbon with two stars, the American Theater Ribbon, the Victory Medal and the Philippine Liberation Ribbon. 

He is survived by his wife, Flossie Matura Yoxtheimer of Bay City; by his daughters, Bonnie Gouge of Fort Worth and Linda Byers of Illinois; by his sons, Robin Ray Yoxtheimer of Midfield and David Wayne Yoxtheimer of Bay City; by three sisters, Eloise Brown of Maine, Doris Liguez of Santa Fe, TX and Harriet Brown of Mineola, TX and by a brother Herbert Yoxtheimer of Ohio.  He is survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lester Matura, Thomas Matura, James Craft, Ernest Cantu, Sam Sain and Carl Corporon.  Military honors were provided by the Joint Veterans Organization Honor Guard Detail.
