Weathers - Roselawn Memorial Park - Photo courtesy of Faye Cunningham Haley Weathers Funeral services for Haley Weathers, 95, of Bay City were scheduled to be held at 11 am today at Cedar Lane Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Hardaway officiating. Burial was in Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck. Mrs. Weathers was born August 4, 1890 in Van Buren, Ark., and died Nov. 11, 1985, at Bay Villa Nursing Home, Bay City. She was a member of Cedar Lane Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Frank and Ben Weathers of Cedar Lane and W. R. Weathers of Barksdale, Texas; three daughters, Mollie Walker and Annie Clements of Cedar Lane and Lilly Walker of Richwood; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Pallbearers included Craig Weathers, Larry Weathers, Barry Weathers Harold Hinkle, Lee Weathers, and David Weathers. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Weathers, in 1978. Services are under the direction of Dick R. Elkins, Bay City Funeral Home.

Randol B. Webb & Loyce B. Webb Randol Blane Webb Funeral services for Randol Blane Webb, 96, will be held at 10 am Monday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck. Mr. Web died Thursday Nov. 4, 1999. He was born October 27, 1903 in Goldwaithe, Texas to Willis Spencer and Emma Lindsey Stokes Webb. He was an active member of the Order of the Odd Fellows and the Rebekah Lodge. He attended the Wesley Class of First Methodist Church for many years. He is survived by sons and daughter-in-law, Randol B. Webb, Chauncey and Frank and Jane Webb of Sherman Conn.; daughter and son in law, Nancy Sue and R. C. O’Massey of Kerrville, Texas; sister and brother in laws Annie Joe and Eugene Smith and Verna Eugene Laird; brother and sister-in-law Alga and W. O. Webb all of Bay City; six grandchildren, Janis Bettes and Connie Sue Patrick of Alvin, Texas, Karen Stillion of Craig, Colo., Randol B. Webb, III of Santa Rosa, Calif. Cheryl Kelly of Pace, Fla. And Genny Leigh Drash of Atlanta, Ga. Seven great grandchildren, Justin and Blane Kelly of Pace, Fla. Wendy and Wesley Lofton of Alvin, TX, Brittany Goss, Shelby and Jarrod Stillion of Craig, Colo. And numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.

Charles Sonnier officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck. A rosary will be said 7 pm today Taylor Brothers Funeral Home Chapel. Mrs. Weldon was born Nov. 24, 1941, in Matagorda County, Texas to Harry and Maudie Loose Janise and died May 15, 1988, at Diagnostic Hospital, Houston. A lifelong resident of Wadsworth, she was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wadsworth and the Sacred Heart Altar Society. Survivors include her mother, Maude Janise of Wadsworth; a son, Larry Leon Weldon, Jr. of Wadsworth; four sisters, Shirley Hale of Wadsworth, Odell Cartwright of Austin, Vivian Black of Van Vleck and Carol Lowrie of Danbury; four brothers, Eddie Janise of Wadsworth, Harry Janise Jr. of Angleton, Morris Janise of El Toro, Calif., and Fred Janise of Brazoria. Pallbearers include Eddie Richard, Jeffrey Wayne Black, Ron Krobot, Johnny Lee Layton, Chuck Abshier, Tommy Gassen, Leonard Lowrie and Larry Milliff. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Larry Weldon, on June 14, 1987. Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.

Casey Jarzombek officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Van Vleck. Visitation with the family was for 6 until 8 pm Monday, March 22 at Bay City Funeral Home. Mr. Welfel died Saturday, March 20, 1999 at The Legacy after a long illness. He was born April 4, 1915 in Moulton, Tex. To Joe and Rosie Spann Welfel. He retired from the Texas Highway Department and was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church. Mr. Welfel is survived by his wife, Pearl Welfel of Bay City; sons, Dennis, Eugene and Freddie Welfel of Bay City; daughters, Arlene Morris of Sarasota, Fla. Rosalie Gavender of Bay City, and Theresa Davis of By City; sisters, Elsie Boyles of California, and Rose Gallaher of Florida; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Julius and Edwin Welfel; and sister, Barbara Faurie. Pallbearers will be Eric Gavender, Michael Schespeder, John Allen, Pres Word, George Lewes, and Timmie Jonata. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson’ Disease Foundation or to the Alzheimer’s disease Foundation. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City.

He was a member of the Farm Bureau and American Legion as well as being a longtime resident in the Sargent area. Survivors include: wife, May Werlla; son, Vernon of Norfolk, VA.; brothers, Charles Werlla of Rosenberg, and Johnny Werlla of Houston; sisters, Mrs. Lurline Marek of Pierce and Mrs. Gladys Wyer of Ganado; one granddaughter, Verna Gene Werlla of Booth Bay, Maine. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 1, at 3 pm at the Cedar Lane Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Cochran officiating. Interment will be at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck with pallbearers being; Gary Werlla, Jessie Werlla, Jr., Charles Werlla, Ross Werlla Gary Marek and Ray Lee. Vallie Rose Westbrook Vallie Rose Westbrook, 99, of Sugar Valley, passed away March 21, 2019. She was born November 10, 1919 in Collegeport, TX to Frank L. and Salomie Lewis Swinford. Vallie is preceded in death by her parents; husband I.J. “Mike” Westbrook and son John N. Cole, Jr. She is survived by daughter Carol Earnest and husband Bruce of Fort Worth, and son Terrence Westbrook and wife Tammy of Sugar Valley. The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 10:00am Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at First Baptist Church Van Vleck. Services will follow visitation at 11:00am at the church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park in Van Vleck. Pall bearers are Terrence Westbrook, Randy Jernigan, Bruce Earnest, Jim Earnest, Curtis Dykes and Pat Keenon. Honorary pallbearers are Rosser Cole and Don Reed. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Baptist Church Van Vleck Building Fund, or the charity or your choice.

Wheeler was born Jan. 27, 1981, in Blessings, Texas. He was a retired rancher and farmer. Services will be held Sunday, Jan. 25, 1970, at 2 pm. in the Taylor Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Bay City. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, Van Vleck. He is survived by 3 daughters: Mrs. Lela Ray, of Garland, Texas; Mrs. Janie Petraitis, of Houston, Texas; and Mrs. Alice Cooper, of Corpus Christi, Texas. He is survived by 3 sons; Ben H.
