The bereaved young parents have the sympathy of all our citizens in this hour of grief. Baby’s stay was very brief, but it was long enough to awaken a new love, and since he has left them, they have a yearning and a new interest in the Heavenly home to which he has been transplanted. For the bud loaned to them for so brief a period of time will unfold its petals and find its full fruition under the warm sunshine of the Savior’s love.

“The baby wept
And mother took it from the nurse’s arms
And hushed its tears, and soothed its vague alarms,
And baby slept;
Again it weeps,
And God doth take it from its mother’s arms,
From present grief and future unknown harms,
And baby sleeps.”
