Robert Andrew Tucker

Robert Andrew Tucker, 42, affectionately known as Bobby, passed away early Tuesday morning in Matagorda, Texas.

He was born August 14, 1971, in Phoenix Arizona, to Robert and Deborah Tucker. He grew up full of life, as the oldest of 3 children, and he is known to have heroically saved his sister from a near drowning. He raced BMX and loved Nascar racing.

Bobby never met a stranger. He easily made friends with his energy, laugh and smile. Bobby settled in South Texas, as he loved being near the water. He was owner and operator of Coastal Cutters. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and coaching Karley’s softball team with the Bay City Girls Softball Association. All of the softball girls adored him because he was known to be a kid himself. He was always excited when friends and relatives visited, because he enjoyed showing them the sights and sounds of the area, where he quickly fell in love in South Texas.

Bobby is survived by his four children, Caila, Taylor, Faith and Paris; parents, Robert and Deborah; sister, Dawna; brother, Carey; and many friends that considered him family.

A celebration of Bobby’s life will begin at 7 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2014, on the veranda at Poco Playa in Matagorda, Texas.
