Funeral Services For Miss Dora Price
Conduced Here
Friends of Miss Dora Price will miss her
quiet sweetness. She has gone to be with her mother, father,
brother, and sister, who preceded her in death.
She was the second daughter of the
pioneer family of T. A. Price, who resided in Stephenville.
Many years after the death of her
father, Miss Dora sacrificially gave herself to make a home for her
mother, who passed away in 1941.
At that time she came to Blessing, where
she lived four years with her sister, the former Mrs. A. O. Yeager.
The last five years she has made her home with her brother, Robert
Price, and family of Palacios.
For many years she was a faithful member
of the Christian Church, but in the absence of one here she placed
her membership in the Presbyterian Church, which she attended
regularly, and was happy there. She had been in failing health for
more than a year. After an illness of only two days she was taken to
the hospital where she stayed three weeks.
Dr. Wilcox and nurses were helpful and
kind and did everything humanly possible to restore her to her
former health. She passed away January 19. “She had done what she
could.”
Services were held from the Presbyterian
Church with the Rev. Earl Price officiating, assisted by Rev.
Carroll B. Ray of Houston. Burial was in Hawley Cemetery.
She left to mourn her passing two
brothers, Joe E. Price of Stephenville and Robert L. Price of
Palacios; seven nieces, Mrs. Hugh Thompson of El Campo, Mrs. Madge
Thorpe of El Campo, Mrs. Paul Braden of Baytown, Mrs. Carroll B. Ray
