Mr. Smith was his boss, his mentor and his hero. Bobby, first was employed as a paper delivery boy, but soon Mr. Smith taught him to shoot and develop photographs, and then he taught him how to write for a newspaper. He even let Bobby use his own camera, as seen in the photo.

When Bobby graduated from college at 20 years old, and received his commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, he entered the Signal Corps and continued to use the skills he had learned as an apprentice to Carey Smith.

Upon his retirement from the service, he became a teacher in Salinas, California.

Patsy was always concerned, and cared for others. She trusted in Jesus to take care of her while she looked after the concerns of others. Her last two years in a nursing/rehabilitation center were spent enjoying the residents around her and playing bingo and dominos. If you wanted to experience unconditional love, you need only get close to her. Her love, smile and care will be greatly missed.
