The service was very brief and reverent. Rev. Keen, the Methodist pastor, lead the prayer and Mrs. Carl Halliday sang “Will the Circle be Unbroken.” The body was carried to Choate to the home of Mr. Bingham’s parents where the relatives and a number of friends had gathered. There in the home it remained for about an hour and was then carried to the Baptist Church at that place. Due to the great number of friends who had gathered, there were many who could not find room even to stand in the house. The pastor of the church, Rev. Haskins had charge of the services. Rev. Don Covington led the prayer and Rev. Smith, who had been a friend of the entire family for many years, spoke words of comfort and commendation.
