Graveside services for Charlie M. “Red” Moore, of Matagorda, were held at 10 a. m. Monday, Feb. 22, 1999 at Matagorda Cemetery, Verne Dipasca officiating. Visitation was from 4-8:30 p. m. Sunday, Feb. 21 in the chapel of Green’s Mortuary. Mr. Moore was born April 28, 1922 in Alabama to Victoria Vaugh. He died Feb. 17 at his residence. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U. S. Army. Mr. Moore is survived by his daughter, Sharon Moore of Matagorda; and sister, Lula Spears. He was preceded by his brothers and sisters. Arrangements are with Green’s Mortuary of Bay City.

Funeral services for Eleanor C. Moore, 77, of Matagorda, will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday at Matagorda Christ Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jack Lowrey officiating. Burial will be in Matagorda Cemetery. Mrs. Moore was born Nov. 9, 1907, in Matagorda, and died July 10, 1985, at Sweeny House, Sweeny. A retired employee of Parker Brothers Shell, she was a member of Matagorda Christ Episcopal Church. She is survived by several relatives and friends. Pallbearers include R. R. Traylor, A. E. Cleve E. “Sonny” Mozley, 62, of Matagorda passed away July 4, 1995 in Van Vleck, Texas. He was born March 25, 1933 in Dove Creek, Colorado to Cleve E. and Edna J. Groves Mozley. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a member of the VFW Post in Matagorda. He is survived by one son, Cleve E. Mozley, Jr. of Omaha, Nebraska, by two sisters, and brothers-in-law, Jean and Ray Baldridge of Beaver, Arkansas, and Josephine and Al Kopan of Versailles, Missouri, by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon and Pat Mozley of Van Vleck, George and Ann Mozley of Maysville, Oklahoma, and Keith and Marie Mozley of Kodiak, Alaska, by four granddaughters and one great granddaughter. Graveside services are scheduled for 3:00 p. m. Friday, July 7, 1995 at the Matagorda Cemetery with Verne Di Pasca officiating. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City. Mrs. Minnie Brousard Murphy, 76, passed away at a rest home in El Campo Friday afternoon.
Funeral services were Sunday afternoon at 2 p. m. at Taylor Brothers, Rev. T. Walter Moore of the First Methodist Church officiating.
Interment was in Matagorda Cemetery.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Vola Scott of Fillmore, Calif.; two sons, Donald Brousard of Aurora N. C. and Mayo LeCompte, two sisters, Mrs. Katy Butter of Wadsworth, and Mrs. Tom Harris of Bay City; nine brothers, Clyde, Sammy, Fred, Jesse, Tommy Ryman, all of Wadsworth, Benny Ryman of Sweeny, Nolan Ryman of Muldoon, Henry Ryman of Texas City; and Alvin Ryman of Port Arthur.
