Enone McNabb Lawhon

Mrs. Claude Lawhon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. McNabb, was born in Matagorda county, Texas, on August 13, 1903. She was married to Claude Lawhon January 16, 1924, to this union was born one child, Catherine.

Aenone (as she was a affectionately known) was converted early in childhood and united with the Methodist Church. She went home to be with God on Sunday, May 17, 1931. The community suffers a great loss in the going of this good woman.

She was a faithful wife, a loving mother and a friend to all, we shall ever miss her. As her pastor I learned to appreciate her for her noble life. I have no word that will heal the wound that bleeds in the heart of her loved-ones as one who will, if you submit yourself to Him, bring you to meet her in the eternal home of the soul.

Servant of God, well done!
Thy glorious warfare’s past.
The battle’s fought, the race is won,
And thou art crowned at last.
