William H. Fuller, 79, of Matagorda, passed away Sunday October 24, 2004 in Bay City. He was born on October 3, 1925 in Herrin, Illinois to the late Mr. Fuller and Emily Margaret Holt Fuller. William has been a resident of Matagorda since 1967. He served his country as an aviation electronic tech. during World War II and the Korean conflict with the U. S. Navy. Mr. Fuller is survived by his daughter, Melody Dykstra of Matagorda; two sons, Melvin Howard Fuller of Takoma, Washington and William Dougls Fuller of Buckley, Washington; and three grandchildren, Eric Fuller of Takoma, Washington, Joshua Fuller of Buckley, Washington and April Dawn McKay of Lincoln City, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Reed, and brother, George Russel Edward. A funeral service will be at 10 a. m. Friday, October 29, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Matagorda, with the Rev. Francis Foger officiating. Interment will follow at the Matagorda Cemetery. Family will be receiving visitors at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home 6 to 8 p. m. Thursday night. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.

Graveside services for Hwitte Francis “Frenchie” Fuselier, 70, are scheduled for 2 p. m. Monday, March 13, 1995, at Matagorda Cemetery with the Rev. Edward Boren of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a. m. to 9 p. m. at the Bay City Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Fuselier was born July 20, 1924, in Port Arthur and died March 8, 1995, at his residence. He was a commercial fisherman, a member of the Catholic church and a member of the V. F. W. Post #4459 in Matagorda. Survivors include his wife, Dolly Fuselier of Matagorda; three sons, Francis Fuselier of Grapeland, Donald Fuselier of Ft. Smith, Ark. and Milton Fuselier Sr. of Matagorda; a daughter, Edith Hirth of Longview; a brother, Dempsey Fuselier of Houston; two sisters, Ester Perry of Dayton and Maglin Nippert of Lafayette, La.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Services are under the direction of Dick R. Elkins, Bay City Funeral Home.
