Wilbert E. Billeau, Sr.
(July 4, 1942 - June 8, 2016)

Wilbert E. Billeau, Sr., 73, of Van Vleck , passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Wilbert was born on July 4, 1942 in Bay City, Texas to the late Joseph Edward and Louise Desoto Billeau. Wilbert married Ladonia Ruth Wilson on September 20, 1962.

Wilbert’s father, mother and 3 sisters, Josephine Beard, Margaret Bushon, and Wilda Ryman preceed him in death. He is survived by his wife Ladonia; daughters Tammy Coleman and husband Rickey, Lisa Billeau and Holly Sanchez; son Wilbert Billeau Jr. and wife Nancy; 11 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 3:00-5:00pm Sunday June 12, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 2:00pm. Monday, June 13, 2016 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Christopher Ryman officiating. Interment will follow at Matagorda Cemetery.

BOMAN, George Washington, age 70, passed away in Matagorda General Hospital on April 20. He is survived by widow, Mrs. Mary Louise Boman; daughter, Miss Ola Mae Boman; sons, Donald and Danny Ray and a brother, J. W. “Bill” Boman. All are residents of Matagorda. Services will be held Thursday, April 22, at 2:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church, Matagorda, with the Rev. Marion Horn officiating. Interment will be in Matagorda Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Hubert Orr Jr., James Wright, Earl Armstrong, Charlie Smith, Lester Simon [Simons], Robert Soloman, and James Simon [Simons]. Taylor Brothers Funeral Home in charge.

James William “Bill” Boman

James William “Bill” Boman, 67, a resident of Matagorda passed away January 16. Survivors include: wife, Mrs. Margaret Jane Boman of Matagorda; 3 daughters, Mrs. Ruby Biggs of San Leon, Mrs. Mary Milson of Bay Cliff, and Mrs. Helen Jennings of Lancaster, California; 2 sons, William R. Boman of Houston and Clyde A. Redding of San Diego, California; 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the First Baptist Church in Matagorda Wednesday, January 17, at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Marion Horn and Rev. David Higgins officiating. Interment was at the Matagorda Cemetery with pallbearers being: Tom Ward, Frank Trimyer, Hubert Orr, Jr., James Wright, Ernest Wilde, and Johnnie Ming. Taylor Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary L. Boman

Funeral services for Mary L. Boman, 82, of Matagorda will be held 10 a. m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Matagorda with the Rev. Oliver Southall officiating. Burial will be at Matagorda Cemetery.

Mrs. Boman was born May 14, 1910 in China Springs to E. O. and Josephine Parish Simons and she died Oct 14, 1992 at Matagorda General Hospital.

She was a member of the Matagorda Baptist Church and a resident of Matagorda for the past 41 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Amelia Olla Mae Boman of Matagorda; two sons, Donald Raymond Boman of Markham and Danny Ray Boman of Matagorda; three sisters, Amelia Fredrick of Brazoria, Sylvia Heiliger of Silsbee and Elsie Fay Pevehouse of Matagorda; two brothers, Arnold Simons of Sweeny and Carroll Eugene Simons Alvin; and one granddaughter, Diana Boman of Matagorda.

Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home in Bay City.
