Funeral services for Anthony Will Wright, 59, will be Saturday, October 5, 2019, 11:00, Jesus Freewill Holy Temple Church, with Bishop Michael Hurst, eulogizing. He passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019, 10:48 at Matagorda Regional Hospital, Bay City, Texas. Versie Mary Wyche Versie Mary Wyche, 84, of Bay City, Texas passed away May 13, 2017. She was born February 23, 1933 in Boyce, Louisiana to Joseph LaCour and Geneva Hampton. Mary, as she was known, was one of eight siblings. She acknowledged a belief and commitment to Christ early in life. Versie Mary Wyche was united in holy matrimony to Arnie Huffman Wyche for 65 years, until his passing on April 23, 2016. They resided in Colorado Springs, Colorado but returned to Live Oak Community to live and open their own small business, Arnie’s Barbeque. She served on the usher board of Vine Grove Christian Church until her aging years. She was forever giving and caring for others until her final days. Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Simeon, Bobby and David LaCour; sister, Lillian Jackson; and grandsons, Jason Strickland and Jabar McKenzie. She is survived by brothers, Joseph and Clarence LaCour; sister, Ruth Williams; six children, Elvie Finks (Carl Rogers), Flordie Wyche, Arnie Wyche Jr., Mary McKnzie, Cheroyl Davis, and Jerome Wyche; sixteen grandchildren; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. A viewing service will be held at Duncan Roberts Funeral Home in Bay City, Texas from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017. The funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Vine Grove Christian Church with the Rev. Larry Fletcher officiating. Jason Wyche Jason Wyche Houston—Jason Jerome Wyche, 31, of Houston, died Thursday, April 13, 2006. He was born, Oct. 22, 1974, to Kenneth Strickland and Cheryl Davis of Colorado. Survivors: stepfather, Richard Davis of Colorado; daughter, Alyssa Somone Lewis of Texas; three step-sisters; brothers, Raymond Strickland of Texas and Baron Strickland and Jayden Payne, both of Colorado; one stepbrother, and grandparents, Arnie and Versie Mary Wyche of Texas, and Leon and Laverta Tatum of Tennessee. Visitation will be noon to 8 p. m. Friday at Green’s Mortuary Chapel. He will lie in state from noon to 1 p. m. Saturday at Vine Grove Christian Church in Live Oak Community Services will be 1 p. m. John Louis Wyche John Louis Wyche Funeral services of John Louis Wyche, 69, of Bay City will be at 2 p. m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998 at Vine Grove Christian Church in Live Oak, Rev. Larry Fletcher officiating. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Live Oak. Visitation will be until 9 p. m. Friday, Dec. 18 in the chapel of Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home, with family visitation from 7 until 8 p. m. Wyche will lie in state from 1 until 2 p. m. Saturday at the church. Wyche was born in Live Oak Tuesday, Feb. 12, 1929 to Sessia Wyche, Sr. and Nona Dale Wyche and died Saturday, Dec. 12 at Bay Villa Nursing Home. He was a member of Vine Grove Christian Church. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army, serving in the Korean War. Wyche retired from Geo-Source, then went to work as a custodian for Van Vleck High School. Many students and faculty members admired him as a dear friend. Wyche is survived by his wife of 26 years, Millie Boulden Wyche of Bay City; daughters and step-daughter, Cheryl Wyche of Live Oak, Fanetta Wyche of Austin, Terry Wyche of Bay City and Letha Boulden of Austin; grandchildren, Samantha Wyche, Christopher Boulden, Jeffrey Smith, and Ryan Rollins; sister, Pinkie Mae Robbins of Live Oak; brother and sister-in-law, Arnie Wyche (and Mary) of Live Oak; sister-in-law, Lillian Wyche of Live Oak; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his sister, Lena Polk and brother Sessia Wyche Jr. Active pallbearers will be Johnny Wyche, Sandy Wyche, Arnie Wyche, Jr., Sessia Wyche, III, DeAndrea Barnes, and Robert Rollins. Honorary pallbearers will be Milton Boulden, Odell Wyche, Roy Boulden, Jr., Billie Polk, Henderson Polk, and Roy Lee Times. Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home.

Lillian Stephney Wyche
Lillian Stephney Wyche Lillian Stephney Wyche went to be with our Lord Thursday, February 28, 2013. She was born May 25, 1926 to Esther Law Stephney and Daniel Stephney in Bell Bottom (Gainesmore). She graduated from Hilliard High in 1945 and married Sessia Wyche, Jr. of Live Oak shortly after where she settled into a life of raising her children. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, making a nice home for her family and her missionary work. Lillian leaves behind nine children to cherish her memory: Sessia Wyche III (Emilia) of Harlingen; Yvonne Denmon (Fred Turner) of Houston; Odell Wyche Sr. of Sweeny; Vic Wyche (Rebecca) of Humble; Sandy Wyche (Gail) of DeSoto; Gery Wyche Sr. (Kendra) of Houston; Aqurnette ‘Quinna’ Wyche of Bay City; Leslie Wyche (Martha) of Houston; Godwin Wyche (Audrey) of Rosenberg. She also leaves behind an adopted daughter, Qiana Wyche of Katy who is also her granddaughter, 24 other grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She was proud of them and showed it by going to as many of their graduations, weddings, baptisms, and many other accomplishments. Lillian has one surviving sister Hattie Porter of Portland, Oregon; one brother-in-law Arnie Wyche (Mary) of Bay City, sister-in-law Millie Wyche of Bay City and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Sessia Wyche Jr., parents, Esther and Daniel, and siblings: Alexander, Lucille, Raymond, twin brother Lloyd, and Robbie Stephney. Viewing will be at the funeral home from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday, March 8, 2013. Services celebrating Lillian’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Mother Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Pastor L.C. Cunningham officiating. Arrangements are with Duncan-Roberts Funeral Home in Bay City.
