To Be Held Tuesday
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Weaver, age 69 years, 3 months and 5 days passed away at her home in Markham Saturday morning, Feb. 19, at 12:15, after an illness of some duration.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Nettie Alexander, Markham; Mrs. Maude Ryan, California; Mrs. A. E. Stokes, Tyler, Texas; Mrs. L. W. Keith, Cleveland, Texas; Mrs. Chester Kee, Markham; Mrs. Charles Adams, California; three sons, N. J., Bay City;Billie, U.S. Seabees [US Navy]; Charlie, U.S. Navy; four sisters, Mrs. Jane Harmes, Hope, Texas; Mrs. Susie Stribling, Matagorda; Miss Maud Wallace, Eagle Lake; Mrs. Mattie Nicholson, Kennedy, Texas; two brothers, T. A. Thigpen, Ezell, Texas and L. K. Thigpen, Kennedy.
Funeral services are to be held at the Markham Baptist Church at 3:00 Tuesday afternoon with Rev. R. F. Black officiating. Burial will be in Cedarvale Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Matchett-Newman Funeral Home.
