Friday Afternoon
Mrs. L. R. Walker, age 74, passed away in Houston Wednesday at 11:20 p.m. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. T. L. Shannon.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Shannon and Mrs. C. R. Allen, Rt. 1, Bay City; three sons, C. R. Walker, and M. T. Walker , Cedar Lane and S. G. Walker, Crete, Texas.
Funeral services will be held from Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Friday at 2:00 p.m. with interment in Cedarvale Cemetery.

L. R. Walker, a well known and highly respected farmer of the Cedar Lane section died in a Houston hospital last Sunday morning, November 8, after an illness of some weeks. He was 71 years, 6 months and 28 days of age.
Mr. Walker had been a resident of the Cedar Lane community for several years and was highly esteemed as neighbor, friend and citizen by the entire neighborhood.
The funeral was held from the Walker-Matchett Funeral Home Monday morning at 11 o’clock. Rev. J. Willett officiating.
Mr. Walker is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mesdames Rosa Lee Allen and Mattie Shannon, and three sons, Millard, Sam and Clifford; one sister, Mrs. Novia Williams is another survivor.
