Little information is known about Private Villareal, U.S. Army. He was born on December 15, 1891 at Corpus Christi, Nueces County, Texas. He died on October 8, 1918 most likely from the Spanish Flu. He was either assigned to/or died at Evac Hospital 28, Camp Greenleaf, Fort Oglethorpe, Catoosa County, Georgia. Camp Greenleaf was where the sanitary and medical corps were located, and horse-drawn ambulances were trained. According to his draft registration card his home was at Palacios, Matagorda County, Texas when he registered and he worked for Palacios Fisheries Company. He was single and was supporting a sister under the age of 12. Anyone having information about Private Villareal is asked to email.
