Burial services under the auspices of the Palacios Lodge No. 990, A. F. & A. M. were held Sunday at the Palacios Cemetery for George G. Lovering, 84, a member of the lodge who died at his home in Houston early last Saturday.
 

Mr. Lovering was one of the pioneer settlers of this section and had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances here.
 

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. M. H. A. Lovering, of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Otto Buenger, of Georgia; a son, L. A. Lovering, of Baytown; two grandchildren, seven nephews and one niece. His daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lovering of Baytown, is a sister of George A. Harrison of Palacios.
 

The body was brought overland from Houston Saturday afternoon. Houston funeral directors were Fogle-West while here arrangements were in charge of the Palacios Funeral Home.

Mrs. M. H. Lovering - Augusta Pritschau Lovering

 

Mrs. M. H. Lovering, aged 82 years, widow of the late George G. Lovering, died in a Houston Hospital Monday, and the remains were brought here Tuesday for burial.

 

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in St. John’s Episcopal Church, conducted by the Rev. Malone, of Bay City. Interment was made in the Palacios cemetery beside her husband who preceded her in death in November, 1941.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lovering were among the early settlers of the Dunbar community and their country home was known as “Sunny Slope” for a number of years.

 

Two children survive, a daughter, Mrs. Eugenia Buenger, of Germany, and the son, L. A. Lovering, of Baytown, with whom she made her home. One sister, in Wyoming, also survives.

Lenz Adams “Pat” Lovering

 

Services for L. A. “Pat” Lovering, 98, of Baytown will be held at 10 a. m. Tuesday at Earthman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. P. Walter Henckell officiating.
 

Lovering died Friday at his residence.
 

He was a longtime resident of Baytown and was a retired Exxon supervisor.
 

Lovering was a 50-year Mason, a member of Goose Creek Masonic Lodge No. 1192, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.


He was a longtime member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
 

He is survived by his wife, Winifred H. Lovering of Baytown; a son, Eugene H. Lovering of Kerrville; two grandsons, the Rev. Eugene H. Lovering Jr. of Dallas and Donald E. Lovering of Kerrville.
 

Two great-grandchildren also survive.
 

Burial will be at San Jacinto Memorial Park.
 

In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made to the memorial fund of St. James House.
 

Arrangements are under direction of Earthman Funeral Home.
