Julius Earl Aaron

 

Aaron, Julius Earl, 81, a resident of Bay City for 15 years, passed away in Herman Hospital in Houston May 16. He is survived by: his wife, Pauline B.; three daughters, Mrs. Fred Broughton, Mrs. Frank Hurley Jr., Mrs. R. B. McCullough all of Bay City; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Burton of California, Mrs. Zeb Holloman of San Antonio; one brother, W. E. Aaron of San Antonio; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 18, at 2:30 p. m. at Taylor Brothers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. W. D. Baker officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Vale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Richard McCullough, Robert McCullough, Frank Broughton Jr., Frank Hurley III, J. W. Luedke and Frank Sliva.

Services for Margaret Aaron Hurley of Bay City will be held at 2:30 p. m. Sunday, June 10, 1984, in the First Baptist Church with the Rev. W. D. Baker officiating.
 

Mrs. Hurley, 69, was born on August 27, 1914, in Pomona, Calif. She was an active member of the Bay City Country Club and the Lady’s Golf Association. She died on June 8, 1984, in Herman Hospital in Houston.
 

She is survived by her husband, Frank Hurley Jr. of Bay City; daughter and son-in-law Martha and Rick Johnson of Bay City; daughter-in-law and son Nancy and Frank Hurley III of Bay City; one sister, Virginia McCullough of Bay City; and two grandchildren, Jennifer and Jason Hurley of Bay City.
 

Pallbearers will be Bob Breeden, Scooter Craig, Tom Goebel, Bill Penny, Erwin Ward and Glen White. Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Allison, W. Q. Keen and Tom Ottis.
 

Burial will be in Cedarvale Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Taylor Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Frank Hurley Jr.

Funeral services for Frank Hurley Jr., 72, of Bay City were scheduled for 4 p. m. today at First Baptist Church with the Rev. W. D. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Cedarvale Cemetery.

Mr. Hurley was born June 6, 1914, in Bay City to Frank Allen and Fay Williams Hurley Sr. and died 12:20 a.  m. March 12, 1987, at his residence.

A life-long resident of Bay City, he was the owner and operator of Hurley Butane in Bay City. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Baptist church.

Pallbearers include Glen White, Dick McCullough, Frank Silva, J. W. Luedke, Erwin Ward and E. M. Huitt.

Honorary pallbearers include Tom Ottis, W. Q. Keen and Fred Broughton Jr.

Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home.

Virginia B McCullough
May 5, 1916 – April 29, 1987

Funeral services for Virginia Browning McCullough, 70, of Bay City will be held at 11:00 AM Friday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, with the Rev. W. E. Dugger, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Cedarvale Cemetery.

 

Mrs. McCullough was born May 5, 1916, in Pasadena, California to Julius Earl and Pauline Browning Aaron, and died at 7:20 PM April 29, 1987 at her residence.

 

A resident of Bay City since 1940, she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star where she served as Mother Advisor for Rainbow Girls. She was a member of the Woman’s Gulf Association and Bay City Book Review Club.

 

Survivors include: her husband, R. B. McCullough, Jr. of Bay City; a daughter, Paula Luedke of Bay City; a son, Robert McCullough of Houston; and four grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers include Roy Lee Anderson, Tom Anderson, Vernon Leissner, Frank Sliva, Frank Hurley III and Carroll Stewart.

 

Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home.

Richard “Dick” McCullough, 90, of Bay City died July 19, 2002, at Matagorda General Hospital.

He was born January 15, 1912 in Anness, TN to the late Richard Brank and Emma Emaline Fisher McCullough.

Mr. McCullough was a resident of Bay City for the past 60 years, a member of the Baptist Church and a retired oilfield gauger.

Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law Paula and J.W. Luedke of Bay City; brother: Tom McCullough of Hemet, CA; 4 grandchildren: John Luedke of Houston, Michael Luedke of Tomball, Melissa Weikel of Topeka, KA, and Mark McCullough of Manhattan Beach, CA; and three great grandchildren: Chandler Luedke, Emma Luedke, and Amanda Weikel.

He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia and his sons Richard Earl and Robert Allen McCullough.

Funeral services was 2 p.m. Monday, July 22 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Steele officiating. Interment followed at Cedarvale Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Roy Leslie, David Reid, Frank Sliva, Travis Hicks, Frank Hurley, and Ray Wainner. Honorary pallbearers were Tom Anderson, Roy Lee Anderson, Leonard Braden, and Vernon Leissner.
