Esther Marie Wilson Parks

Esther Marie Wilson Parks, 59, of Bay City passed away April 14, 1996 at Matagorda General Hospital. 

She was born March 28, 1937 to parents Woodrow and Clara Bell Wilson in Glidden. Funeral services for will be held on Saturday, April 20, at Mother Zion Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. T. L. Richardson officiating. Burial will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Bay City. Visitation will be Friday noon until 9 pm. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 pm at Green’s Mortuary.

She is survived by her husband Isiah Parks, Jr. of Bay City, her children, four daughters and two sons-in-law; Jean Preston Perry of Ann Arbor Michigan, Grace Preston Singletary and Ronald of Dallas, Michelle Parks Connor and Chuck of Houston and Tre’Onna S. Gee of Bay City; five sons Eddie Preston and Fran of Waldorf Maryland, David Preston of El Campo, Darnell Preston of Houston Kenneth Preston and Lynn of Bay City and Michael Parks of Bay City; three stepdaughters Cora, Charlette and Reba Parks; two brothers and sister-in-law Woodrow Wilson and Kathryn of Glidden, Herman Wilson and Pearlie of Houston; 28 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Active pallbearers are Terryl Preston, Charles Perry, Stevie Franklin, Adrain Caesar, Bob Gipson, Melvin Johnson, Jr. and David Preston, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Preston, Darnell Preston, Michael Parks, Herman Wilson, Chuck Connor, Joyce Bundrick, Nina James, Ester Williams, Kenneth Preston, David Preston, Woodrow Wilson, Ronald Singleteary, Isiah Parks, Jr. Effie Southall, Lorna Boots, Johnnie Fisher, Sue Royster and Victoria Garza.

Arrangements are with Green’s Mortuary in Bay City.
