The Chiropractic offices of Dr. H. E. Van Griner, Bay City, Texas, is outstanding for a small city. He has one of the best equipped offices in the state, offering the people of Matagorda County an exceptional drugless health service, specializing in difficult cases. Dr. Van Griner has been in Bay City for the past five years. Prior to coming to Bay City he was located for two years in Brawley, California. He has been Assistant Research Director of the Texas Chiropractic College before having ten years of active practice. He has assisted in developing the advance techniques of the profession, in a developer of plastic restorations from a drugless nonmedical standpoint and plaster reproduction technique of abnormalities, curvatures of the spinal column. His office is equipped with cushion-air adjusting tables, modern X-Ray laboratory, scientific Micro Analysis Dynamometer, a precision instrument which makes a direct instantaneous and visual measurement through a beam of light on a clinical measured scale of basic phenomena or electro chemical balance. Thus for an example a Chiropractor can quickly locate the spinal segments which are hyperexcited, and thus pick more accurately the majors at each treatment and attain better clinical results. Dr. Van Griner is a member of the Texas State Chiropractic Association and the National Chiropractic Association.

Requiem Mass will be offered at 10 a. m. Saturday at St. Margaret Mary's Catholic Church for Dr. Howard E. Van Griner, 439 Taft Ave. Burial will be in San Fernando No. 2 Catholic Cemetery. Griner, a resident of San Antonio for 35 years, is survived by his wife, a son, two daughters, two sisters, and a brother.

Ann Zepeda Van Griner passed away Friday, June 15, 2007 at the age of 95. She was preceded in death by her husband Howard Doc Van Griner, and her parents Modesto and Juanita Zepeda all of San Antonio. She is survived by a sister and brother, daughters: Rita Recker and husband Bill, Anita Diebel and husband Bud and son Les Van Griner and wife Sylvia. Grandchildren, Stephanie Arch (Mike), Rani Janelle Sill, Dean Diebel (Michelle), Todd Diebel and Douglas Van Griner. Great-grandchildren Chelsea and Matthew Arch, Kaitlin, Shelby and Anne Sill and Dylan Diebel. Ann was a creative woman who loved gardening, quilting, ceramics and crafts. She loved the Spurs and never missed watching a game. She worked for the war dept. during WWII, and retired from the San Antonio Housing Authority. Visitation, 5 pm Sunday, followed by Rosary (6 pm) at Mission Park North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive. Funeral mass is pending at St. Gregory's Catholic Church.
