Son of James Harvey Smith and Dora Asmus Smith. Dr. Smith was a dentist practicing in Bay City. In 1953 his office was in the 1st National Bank building. In the 1965-66 city directory for Bay City listing, his office was at 1807 Merlin and the office telephone number was CI 5-3669. He was married to Doris Lunell Frazier (June 18, 1917 - November 5, 2000) and they had two children, Linda and Richard. Doris F. Smith Doris F. Smith, 83, of Paudcah, Ky., formerly of Bay City, died Nov. 5, 2000, at Western Baptist Hospital. She was born to James Frazier and Harriett Hardy Frazier. She was a retired secretary with the Bay City Independent School District and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay City. Survivors include: daughter, Linda Gould of Paducah; son, Dr. Richard Smith of Paducah; seven grandchildren, Allison Smith of Lexington, Va., Phillip Smith, Matthew Smith and Robert Gould of Davidson, N. C., Lisa Smith, Claire Gould and Katherine Gould of Paducah. She is preceded in death by her husband Ulman Uldean "Dean" Smith, parents, three brothers; and two sisters. The family will receive visitors from 10 to 11 a. m. Wednesday at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a. m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2000, at Roselawn Memorial Park with Dr. Mike Zimmerman officiating. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association Louisville Chapter, 3703 Taylorsville Road, Suite 102, Louisville, Ky 40220, or the First Presbyterian Church of Paducah, 200 N 7th Street, Paducah, Ky 42091. Arrangements are by Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.
