Dr. Livengood Dies at 83 Dr. B. L. Livengood, 83, died late Sunday evening at the Caney Valley Memorial Hospital in Wharton following a brief illness. A resident of Bay City for 51 years, Dr. Livengood practiced as an Osteopathic Physician for 45 years here in Bay City, during which time he delivered 2500 babies. he was born in Cameron, MO. and was a graduate of the American School of Osteopathy. He was a member of the Home Guard during World War II, a Shriner, Master Mason, member of the Arabia Temple Shrine, charter member of the Bay City Rotary Club and organized the first Boy Scout troop in Bay City that was sponsored by the Rotary Club. Dr. Livengood will lie in state in the drawing room of the Bay City Funeral Home from noon Monday until noon Tuesday and cremation will follow at the Forest Park Mission Crematorium in Houston. In lieu of the usual remembrances, the family requests that contributions be made to charity. Survivors include his wife, Mayme W. Livengood of Bay City; four sons, Burton Livengood and Richard Livengood of Madill, Okla., Dr. Gerald Livengood of Mission and Moyes Livengood of Bay City; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Allen of Bay City and Mrs. Geraldine King of Palacios and eight grandchildren. Mayme W. Livengood, 92, a resident of Bay City since 1913, passed away July 29. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Mrs. Helen C. Allen and Mrs. Geraldine King both of Bay City; 2 sons, Dr. Gerald S. Livengood of Mission, Texas and Richard O. Livengood of Madill, Oklahoma; 1 sister, Mrs. Cora Wilson of Bay City; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great great granddaughter. Mrs. Livengood will lie in state at the Bay City Funeral home chapel until 9 p. m. Monday night, July 31. Arrangements are under the direction of Dick R. Elkins, Bay City Funeral Home.

Helen Cora Allen, 70, of Bay City died Sept. 2 in the Matagorda General Hospital. She was born Mar. 20 in Naponee, Nebraska. She was a resident of Bay City 64 years and a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church. Survivors include; her widower, Frank T. Allen of the home; son, James M. Allen of Bay City; sister, Geraldine King of Bay City; brothers, Richard Livengood of Madill, Oklahoma and Dr. Gerald Livengood of Kerrville and two grandchildren. Funeral service was held a the Taylor Bros. Chapel, Sept. 3 with the Rev. Milton McWilliams officiating. Interment service was held at the Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers were Burton LeTulle, Raleigh Huebner, John Rakestraw, Kyle Alford, Nick Hyde, L. E. Brockman, Lawrence Gwin and Bill Green. Honorary pallbearer was Bill O'Neal. Arrangements with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.

J. Moyes Livengood, 57, died in his sleep early Monday morning. A Bay City resident for 51 years, was for many years engaged in the insurance business and at the time of his death, he was associated with the A. H. Wadsworth Agency. He served on the Bay City Council for 12 years and acted as Mayor Pro Tem and was also very active with the Boy Scouts. Livengood will lie in state in the Drawing Room of the Bay City Funeral Home. Cremation will follow at the Forrest Park Mission Crematorium in Houston. In lieu of the usual remembrances, the has requested that contribution be made to charity. Survivors include his mother, Mayme W. Services Wednesday KERRVILLE--Memorial services for Dr. Gerald S. Livengood, M. D., 76, who died Sunday in a Kerrville hospital, will be Wednesday at 2 p. m. at St. Peters's Episcopal Church, with the Rev. Marvin Bond officiating. Born July 24, 1916 in Bay City, Dr. Livengood had been a resident of Kerrville since 1974, formerly residing in Mission. He was a medical doctor at the Kerrville Veterans Administration Medical Center. He was a member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Four County Medical Society, Kerrville Kiwanis Club and Kerrville Men's Garden Club. He married Barbara Teague on Jan. 2, 1979 in Center Point. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Elizabeth Castro of Fort Worth; two sons, Gerald Livengood III of Galveston and Richard Livengood of El Paso; three step-daughters, Julie Gafford of Center Point, Laura Le Purcell of San Antonio, and Kay Purcell of Kerrville; a step-son, Ben W. Purcell of Heidelburg, Germany; a sister, Geraldine king of Kerrville; a brother, Richard Livengood of Madill, Okla.; two grandsons, Rhett Castro and Jason Castro, both of Fort Worth; 10 step-grandsons and two step-granddaughters. Grimes Funeral Chapel in Kerrville is in charge of arrangements.

Geraldine Livengood King, 89, died Sunday, January 8, 2006, in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born in Bay City on July 24, 1916, the youngest of six children, to Dr. Burt Lee and Mayme Livengood. She is preceded in death by: her twin brother, Dr. Gerald Livengood; three other brothers, Moyes, Richard and Burton Livengood; and a sister, Helen Livengood Allen of Bay City. She is survived by: her daughters, Caroline Bearse Dechert of Canyon Lake, Texas, and Jennie Joy Bearse Adams of Yuba City, California; her nephew, Jim Allen of Bay City; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Geraldine lived and worked most of her life in Bay City. She worked in the Matagorda County tax office and was an assistant librarian at the Bay City Public Library. She lived in Kerrville, Texas, for 19 of the last 21 years. Her passion was reading which she enjoyed all her life. A memorial service will be conducted at 1:30 p. m. Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, at the Eden Home Chapel in New Braunfels, Texas. A graveside service was Monday, Jan. 9, 2006 at Fischer Cemetery, Fischer, Texas.
