Funeral services for Davis A. Einkauf, 89, of New Braunfels will be held 10 a. m. Monday at Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels with the Reverends Jim Humphreys and John Payne officiating. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p. m. Saturday and Sunday at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South, San Antonio. Burial will be next to his first wife, Evalyn Einkauf, in Comal County Cemetery in New Braunfels. Dr. Einkauf died July 23, 1992. He was known as "Doc" by family and friends. Dr. Einkauf was a past president of the Texas Chiropractic Association and a member of the board of certification. He was a member of the Bay City Blue Lodge of Bay City. Dr. Einkauf was a deacon in the Baptist Church for 65 years and served as chairman of the Board of Deacons in Bay City and Smithville. His friends included well-known Baptist ministers such as the Rev. George Truett of First Baptist Church in Dallas and the Rev. Robert G. Lee, who preceded him in death. Dr. Einkauf served under the pastorate of well-known ministers such as Drs. James Draper, Sr. James Eaves and Bill Baker of Bay City and the Rev. D. L. Payne of San Antonio. Survivors include his wife, Bessie Einkauf of New Braunfels; a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. James W. and Doris Einkauf of San Antonio; five children; four great-grandchildren; three step-children; two sisters, Beth Hinson of Roaring Springs and Pearl Maxwell of Paradise, Calif. and brother, Woodrow Einkauf. Dr. Einkauf's first wife, Evalyn Einkauf, to whom he was married for 55 years, preceded him in death. Arrangements are with Mission Park of San Antonio.

The Gulf Coast Chiropractic Society held its regular monthly meeting in Palacios Saturday, October 1. Drs. Clyde Spellman, El Campo, D. A. Einkauf and K. A. Daggett, Bay City, John C. White and Norman E. Runyon, Palacios attended the meeting. Dr. Runyon was host. Dr. Einkauf discussed the work of Dr. Illi of Switzerland, who has done extensive research in chiropractic. Dr. Illi's work was presented at the recently held Homecoming at the Texas Chiropractic College at San Antonio. Other portions of the program included case management and X-Ray procedure. Dr. Spellman was selected to be host to the next meeting of the society.
