Amos M. Garcia Bertha M. Garcia Bertha M. Garcia Services were held for Bertha M. Garcia, 60, of Bay City, 3:30 p. m. today Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Officiating at the services was Father J. P. Shannon. Garcia died December 31, 1982 at Matagorda General Hospital. Survivors include sons, Robert S. Garcia of Bay City, Rodolfo Tony Garcia of Old Ocean; daughters, Sylvia Yeats, Virginia Clifton and Mary Esther Garcia of Bay City, Helen Raziuddin of Houston, Tencha Deckard of Galveston; brother, Manuel Mendeola of Houston; sisters, Irene Luna of Bay City, Lilly Gutierrez of Sweeny; grandchildren, Leslie, Tony, Brooke, Mark and Michael. Garcia was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe and was proceeded in death by her husband, Amos Garcia, and son Edward Garcia. Burial followed services at Cedarvale Cemetery. Rosary was said at Bay City Funeral Home Chapel 7 p. m. Sunday by Father J. P. Shannon. Pallbearers were Manuel Mendeola Jr., Sammy Garcia, Mario Martinez, Carlos Luna, Kenneth Garcia and Charlie Martinez III. Services under the direction of Dick R. Elkins Bay City Funeral Home.

Luis G. Garcia Concepsion G. Garcia Concepsion A. Garcia (November 15, 1922 - November 24, 2006) Concepsion A. Garcia, 84 of Markham, passed away Friday, November 24, 2006 in Markham, TX. She was born November 15, 1922 in Mercedes, TX to Eduardo Anciso and Rosa Martinez Anciso. She was a resident of Markham, TX for the past 30 years and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law: Benita Tobar of Markham, Rosa G. & Pedro L. Perez of Markham, Stella G. & Loranzo A. Ramirez of by Bay City, Lionijes A. & Benito Longoria, Jr. of Blessing and Maria A. & George E. Woods of Bay City; by her sons and daughters-in-law: Daniel & Diana Garcia of Markham and Guadalupe & Mary Helen Garcia of Markham; by her half-sister: Virginia Ortiz of Weslaco; by her brother: David Anciso of Idalou, TX; her half-brother: Edward Anciso of Mercedes; and by 25 Grandchildren, 52 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Luis Garcia; by her parents: Eduardo & Rosa Anciso; by her son: Joe Luis Garcia; by her half-sister: Gregoria Avalos; by her brothers: Juan Anciso, Manuel Anciso and Seferino Anciso; and by her half-brothers: Mike Anciso and Pedro Anciso. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Sunday, November 26, 2006 at the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, November 27, 2006 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Gerry Cernoch officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Pallbearers will be Richard Tobar, Michael James Garcia, Pedro P. Perez, Edward Garcia, Benito Longoria, III, and George E. Toribio Garcia Refugia Garcia Toribio Garcia Toribio Garcia, 70, of 2213 7th Street, Bay City died Tuesday, November 7, in Matagorda General Hospital. He was born November 25, 1907 in Goliad and was a member of El Buen Pastor Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, Refugia Garcia of Bay City, daughters, Irene Rodriguez of Bay City, Nora Acosta of Harlingen, sons, Charlie G. Kidder of Victoria and Rudolph G. Kidder of Houston, sister, Vitorina Reyes of Goliad, Estella Hernandez of Houston and Mauela Artero of Victoria, brothers, Marcario Garcia of Austin and Ruben Garcia of Goliad. Services will be held at Taylor Brothers Chapel, Thursday, November 9, 11:00 a. m. Rev. Sostenes Infante and Rev. F. P. Rugerio will officiate. Daily Tribune, November 8?, 1978 Refugia G. Kidder Garcia Funeral services for Refugia G. Kidder Garcia, 87, of Bay City were scheduled for 11 a. m. Monday at the Taylor Brothers Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. F. P. Rugerio officiating. Burial was to follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Mrs. Garcia was born July 4, 1904, to John Gonzales in Mercedes and died 12:02 a. m. Jan. 18, 1992, at Matagorda House. She was a resident of Bay City since 1913 and worked as a seamstress here for many years. She was affiliated with the Presbyterian church. Survivors include two daughters, Irene Rodriguez of Bay City and Nora K. Acosta of Harlingen; two sons, Charley Kidder of Victoria and Rudy Kidder of Houston; two sisters, Consuelo Delgado of McAllen and Guadalupe Robinson of Denver, Colo.; 13 grandchildren, Ray and Rudy Acosta, Lisa deLaGarza, Douglas and Steve Kidder, Charley Kidder Jr., Karen Boatman, Rebecca Morris, Rudy Kidder Jr., Gary Kidder, Kimberly Hyde and Ben and Dan Kidder; and 24 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Garcia was preceded in death by her husband, Toribio Garcia, who died in 1978, and a son, Ben C. Kidder, who died in 1974.

Bertha Rodriguez, 81, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2006 at
her home in Bay City.
Santos Garza Santos Garza, 45, of Bay City, died at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston on November 20. He was a Bay City resident over 3 years, and owned and operated Garza’s Landscaping Company in Bay City. Survivors include: wife, Mrs. Bertha R. Garza of Bay City; mother, Fela Garza of San Benito; daughters, Christina Garza and Pat Garza both of Bay City, plus a daughter living in Harlingen; sons, Santos, Jr. and Mario both of Harlingen, Joe, John, Lupe, Ismeal, Randy, Isreal and Chris all of Bay City; 4 step daughters and 4 step sons; sisters, Eva and Katherina of San Benito; brother, Lupe Garza of San Benito; numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews along with other relatives. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 PM Thursday, November 22. The funeral will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Friday, November 23, at 10:00 AM. Father Joseph Shannon will officiate and interment will be held at Cedarvale Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Taylor Brothers Funeral Home.

Louis Guzman Josefine Guzman
Josephine Guzman, 87, of Bay City died May 9, 2001 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Houston. She was born October 19, 1913 in Palacios, Texas to the late Frank and Juanita Rodriguez Lopez. Mrs. Guzman was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and a lifelong resident of Bay City. Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Valentine and Stella Guzman, Louis D. Jr. and Teresa Guzman all of Houston and Edward and Lupe Guzman of Bay City; nine grandchildren, nine step grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Louis D. Guzman; sisters, Janie Harvey. Beatrice Ramos and Jesusa Lopez; and brothers, Esavel and Frank Lopez. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home and the funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 12 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Boren officiating. Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.

and Manuela Chacon Silvas. She was a lifelong resident of
Bay City and was member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic

Inosencia M. Hernandez, age 92, entered eternal rest on November 23, 2012 in Bay City, Texas. She was born December 28, 1920 in Cuero, Texas. Preceded in death by parents, Paz and Juanita Morales, husband Ramon Hernandez, Sr., son Ramon Hernandez, Jr., siblings, Cruz Bustos, Inez Garcia, Frank Morales and Caesar Morales. In 1944 she and her husband opened El Zarape Café in Bay City, along with her parents, Paz and Juanita Morales. 1954, she later joined in partnership with her sister Inez and husband, Ray Garcia. Survived by daughters Hortencia (Louis) Tejeda, Mary (AB) Trevino, sister, Janie (David) Amador, brother, Pete (Connie) Morales, Paz (Andrea) Morales. grandchildren, Ramon Hernandez III, Marina (Camilo) Reyes and Priscilla (Brad) Jex. Great grandchildren, Meghan, Morghan and Madaline Jex. Natalie and Ramon Herandez IV and great great grandson, Ramon Hernandez V. A Rosary and Mass will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, November 26th, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City. Father Gerald Cernoch will officiate. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery, Bay City, Texas. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, 1412 12th St., Bay City, TX 77414.
