Aniceta Diaz

Aniceta Diaz, 92, of Palacios, died Monday, March 3, 2003, in her home in Palacios.

She was born April 17, 1910 in Bastrop, Texas, to the late Matias Robles and Antalia Gonzalez Robles.

She is survived by: daughters, Ramona Serna of Victoria, and Maria Frausto Palacios; sons, Alberto R. Diaz of Houston, Antonio Diaz of Lake Jackson, Felipe Diaz of Palacios; sister, Lucille Guzman of Bay City; and 21 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by: son, Jesse Diaz; sisters, Andrea Olvera, Consuel Herrera and Luisa Acosta; brothers, Matias Robles, Jr., Marcelino Robles, Frank Robles, and Serafia Gonzalez.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2003 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.

Tomasa Padron Espinoza

Espinoza, Tomasa Padron, passed away Feb 13 in Matagorda General Hospital at age 57.  Survivors are one son, Joe Sanchez of Bay City and two sisters, Maria Espinoza of Bay City and Mrs. Antonia Hermosillo of Houston. Also, two grandchildren. Services were held at 10 am Feb 15 at Our Lady of Guadalup Catholic Church with the Rev. Richard Jeffery officiating.  Interment was in Cedarvale Cemetery.  Rosary was said Feb. 14 at 7 pm at Taylor Brothers Chapel.  Pallbearers were Valentino Valdez, Joe D. Cordoba, Roy Figueroa, Florencio Padron, Amado Rico and Magdeleno Rico Jr.

Funeral Services For Pedro Espinosa

Rosary for Pedro Espinosa, 79-year-old Bay Citian, who died at 2:55 o’clock this morning, will be held tonight at 7:00 o’clock at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church tomorrow at 3:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

Father Adams will officiate at both services.

Mr. Espinosa died at his family residence this morning and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ypsidora Espinosa, four daughters, Petra J. Rico, Tommie Espinosa, Mary Espinosa and Antonia Salazar of Houston.

1888 - 1979

Fabian Flores, 91, of Bay City, died April 28 in Bay City. Survivors include: wife, Josephine Flores; daughters, Mrs. Anita Gallegos, Mrs. Linda Garza, and Mrs. Geniece Garza all of Bay City; sons, Nick Flores and Monce Flores, both of Bay City; 34 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held April 30 at 5:30 PM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with Rev. J. P. Shannon officiating. Interment was at the Cedarvale Cemetery. Arrangements were with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.

Josefa Rodriguez Flores

Funeral services for Mrs. Josefa Rodriguez Flores, 77, of Bay City were det for 2 pm today at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with the Rev. Joseph Shannon officiating. Interment was to follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.  A rosary was held at 7:30 pm Sunday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Flores, who was born May 28, 1907, in Cuero, died at Medical Center Del Oro in Houston on Aug 11, 1984.  A member of the Catholic church, she had been a resident of Bay City since 1954. Her husband, Fabian Flores, had preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy R. Martinez of Bay City; a stepson, Nick Flores of Bay City; and sour sisters, Tommie Reyna and Catandia Longoria, both of Bay City, and Locadia Medina and Christina Mendez, both of Houston; eight grandchildren; and 44 nieces and nephews.

Named as pallbearers were George Medina, Joe Mendez, Pete Rodriguez Jr. Isabel Reyna, Ben Muniz Jr. and Frank Morales.

Taylor Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

William Henry Gardner

William Henry Gardner, 71, of Kendleton. Passed away at the Gulf Coast Medical Center, Wharton, August 23.  Survivors include: two sisters, Mrs. Artie Mae Weisser of Houston, and Mrs. R. L. Cone of Iago.  Interment was at the Cedarvale Cemetery, Bay City, August 24, with the Rev. James Thompson officiating.

Arrangements were made by the Taylor Bros. Funeral Home.
